At least 13 people were injured, five critically in two separate mass shootings at homeless encampments in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Monday. The first shooting took place at East Lake Street and Interstate 35W around 11am local time.

      No.

It’s the gun analogy. Guns don’t kill people. People with guns kill people. People with guns kill people over disagreements they can’t properly resolve, or lunacy. Guns are a tool for hunting for food, but caveman brain leads to them being used as both deterrents, and as misused weapons.

If Fox News promotes lunacy and caters to lunacy, then they should probably be dealt with and taken off the air. My biggest problem with Fox is just how awful their opinion segments (most of their runtime) are and sound. My goodness, I lose IQ just listening to it for more than two seconds. When Fox News reports on news, and only news, without an opinion, they are fine.

Can we go ahead and label fox news as a terrorist organization? They are inciting violence against americans and their viewers are acting on it.

Clearly the administration will do something about these right wing lunatics…

Oh i dunno, maybe the definition of Terrorist.

“unlawfully using violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.”

The unlawfully part is to be questioned since they are using hate speech and hate speech was deemed protected by the supreme court in the past. But apparently the administration doesn’t like that, so the supreme court will probably deem hate speech is not protected anymore since they are bought and paid for by the GOP.

The key part you are missing here is the “unlawfully” part. As the mouthpiece of the current regime they are clearly not beholden to the law (whats left of it) in the us.

Y’know. That’s one way to end homelessness. Just kill everyone who is homeless. Voila, no homelessness.

You become homeless? Straight to the firing line for you.

I mean, other countries did it by lifting up their citizens with social programs and housing projects and whatnot. Admittedly, I would prefer this much more than America’s method.

But this does seem quite America of a solution to the homeless “problem”…

Dude the wife and I like talking long bike rides without our phones, the only electronics on us our lights and our motors. Get in some good conversations outside the city limits once it’s quiet and we don’t have to worry about blocking the tractor that comes by hourly (only traffic on that road) at 10mph, which we can both do without our motors.

Why didn’t I scroll past your comment? Because I thought it might be useful to remind people to shut the fuck up.

Shutting the fuck up is pretty great if you have literally any idea what to do. I’m not anti shut-the-fuck-up. It’s a really great solution for a lot of people. The best, even.

I think i am also entitled to vent. Hearing libs shout about hypocrisy then aggressively shout down even the most mild plan of ‘okay but personally ask them to stop’ is pretty frustrating.

We’re at the point now where the only way out is through. The basic checklist includes staying alive, staying sane, trying to stay out of trouble, helping out when you can, and looking for others doing the same. More or less in that order. There is always a “final battle” when society does a fascism that ultimately unwinds it. We’re on track for that and have just missed our last exit. That’s what we have to look forward to. We’re firmly in “weeks where decades happen” territory, buckle up. Hopefully this time we can clean up properly after.

Weaponizing giant tungsten rods takes a lot more than ‘dropping’ them, you can’t just let go when they’re in orbit and expect them to hit targets because … they’re in orbit, they ain’t going anywhere without some delta V. Plus, if they’re massive dense objects, getting them up INTO orbit is gonna take a ton of rocket fuel. At that point you might as well just use an ICBM with an explosive payload because the destruction-to-cost ratio is way better.

So, a ‘strike’ has come to mean ‘work stoppage’

And historically that has been the most mild of its possible meanings.

Sabotage of machinery and doing work as normal but dividing the product up among workers or giving it out for free, lying to suppliers, and all sorts of more aggressive tactics have traditionally been included in what that word meant. A lot of that doesn’t take a lot of people.

              The Machine has changed.

Congress won’t shut it down. The workers can shut it down. If we want to fix the machine we have to shut it down and fix the Republican sabotage first.

Protests warn people there is a problem. Protests can be ignored. People not getting their fast food can’t be ignored. Daily inconvenience can’t be ignored.

Just look at all the panic work from home caused or when road transport of goods was slowed down.

Rich people pay attention to their money and the average person will pay attention when they can’t get a cheese burger or latte.

Remember what happened when Trump forced China to hit the off button on rare earth metals that are required to keep modern society above complete and sudden collapse?
