As someone who doesn’t like stealth games, I like being able to play a first person Indiana Jones game where the stealth isn’t punishing.
I still get caught by the officers who can see through your disguise. I run away. The alert level goes down. Whatever. I don’t need it to be punishing.

Focusing on yourself is pretty much all you can do. If a society chooses to enter a downward spiral, then there’s not much an individual can do to change that. We’re just gonna have to spiral until we hit rock bottom and then hope Americans have what it takes to piece it all back together. Probably gonna be a lot of suffering and death before that happens though.
Eh. I want hyper realistic graphics, but I also want a solid story and good gameplay mechanics. If hyper realistic graphics took a backseat to story and mechanics I’d be just as annoyed as a focus on hyper realistic graphics over story and mechanics.
Edit: Generally speaking, of course. There’s quite a few modern games with non-realistic graphics I enjoy, but I’m always waiting for that next hyper realistic game to push the boundaries.
It’s not the quality of the content. I’m responsible when it comes to my sources. It’s the sheer volume of legitimate depressing news making it crystal clear that our society is amoral and uneducated and that I’m probably not going to see too much progress in my lifetime and will probably struggle as much, or more, than I currently am until I’m dead. I could be getting my news from the absolute best, most unbiased sources and still be getting overwhelmed by utterly depressing developments that add up to a really grim outlook for the future.

On inauguration day I plan on only browsing my local subs going forward. I don’t need to be more ashamed of being American or know what clown car bullshit Donald Trump and his enablers have done that day to embarrass us on the world stage.
We’ve committed as a society to a degradation of our nation and that’s what we’re going to get. I don’t need to watch that process under a microscope.
How about they make the app stop refreshing my feed when I have to put the phone down for a second? Got real tired of losing what I was looking at when I re-opened it. I stopped using Instagram because of it.
I’m getting close to 1k. Such an incredibly good game. The devs are legends.
I’ve been playing a Half-Life mod called Sven Coop since 1999. I play almost daily, if only for a half an hour when I get home to unwind. Multiple server owners have given me admin rights to help manage their servers so sometimes I’m just there to kick griefers or change levels that are broken so people don’t leave. There are many thousands of user made levels. People are still making them. The mod is still getting updated. Just did actually.
It wasn’t added to Steam until 2016. So there was no way for me to track play hours until then. Since 2016 it shows that I have a little over 3000 hours. And I used to play more before I became an adult and had to do adult things. So I can only imagine what my total hours are.
10,000 hours? And that’s probably conservative.
I will have been playing regularly for 26 years this January.
In America it’s easier to be a Republican. Hell, you can be a convicted felon, rapist, or pedophile and win.

It can be hard to avoid repeating history even under the best circumstances. But if you have a weak education system, which varies GREATLY from state to state or county to county, you’re basically doomed to repeat it. I’ve met some people that technically graduated high school, but shouldn’t have made it out of 3rd grade. We’re letting people waltz through the system and come out unbelievably under-educated. It’s sad.
And that’s why a rapist is about to be our president.
The “party of freedom” took away a fundamental right from half our populace.
