And we’re at 1000 and counting dead in Iran. This mfs only legacy will be the pile of bodies left in his wake.

It’s pretty disturbing how the president can decide to kill thousands all on a feeling and all without authorization from Congress

Why should one man get to decide the fate of thousands and the destiny of an entire country?

After he leaves office we have serious work that we need to do to reform the executive branch and to formally strip away all the powers that we have been warned about.

Now CNN, do an article on each of the hundreds of children killed in the air strikes. Highlight how they were the light of the party. How unselfish they were, how they will be missed by their families. How, for some reason, unlike the base these American soldiers were working on, their school didn’t have concrete walls around it to protect them.

So much of what he does is so intentionally manufactured - very odd intentions and ideas about what to manufacture, just to say that briefly - that I have to believe he thought it would land well, advantageously in his permanently self-aggrandizing way - the several times he’s said this and similar stuff.

Which, after a little inspection, gives us such a weird tiny window both into what he thinks impresses people…but to a vaguer degree, by proxy, what does impress the people who he historically has always sucked up to.

This specific weird brag he did always stuck out to me as uniquely vile, at first I saw it as merely stupid and amazingly tone deaf (first very surprising campaign, IIRC), but there was something else there I couldn’t quite put my finger on, and it’s this. I think we have to acknowledge it’s always revealed something much, much worse.

How many times have we heard the ways “they” all truly feel, and recoiled at the base lowness of it, projected uniquely, confidently, smugly - out of their grotesque messiah’s mouth? He’s not uniquely vile. He’s uniquely vocal, about it, and that’s all.

[Edit: “they”, just above, of course means the terminally deranged, unsalvageable minds we call “elites”, it doesn’t mean Republicans, voters, any other groups of humans - hope that’s obvious but I prefer clarity]

I see this as no different than the bastard lobbing a frag grenade at the neighbors and then hiding behind these kids as human shields.

The Mad Child-Raping Wannabe King is killing people’s children again, and he doesn’t care whose. Never has.

These kids? My friend, the faces you see are the type of people responsible for KILLING kids. These are all adults with full responsibility for their actions.

I get where you’re coming from, and I anticipated a response like this, but also there’s some realities I respectfully believe you’re at risk of over-generalizing.

In the modern world armed forces are often positioned as a way out of poverty, or to a fulfilling career, because they’re one of the last jobs that will actually train you. (Especially if you can’t afford college.)

I have my own opinion that swearing oaths to a state that can tell you “Go kill them or else” is a bad idea, but I can only control me.

Regardless, a mixture of people join up: Many of which wanna just do their 4 years and leave. Most of which never see combat. Many of which do incredibly valuable work like weather monitoring! But also few really get a choice where they’re deployed.

My point being: These are human beings killed. Those on the other sides are human beings killed. This is a net negative. For all we know, these U.S casualties were the base cooks. We don’t know if they ever aimed any weapon at another living soul. We don’t know who these people are.

The kneejerk reaction is to say “They had it coming” because we don’t like what’s happening, but that thinking will swiftly rot our humanity.

The puppetmasters that are pointing these human beings at each other for their own sick games are the ones that should be punished and destroyed. NONE of these people needed or deserved to die.

War does not determine who is right — only who is left.

        –Bertrand Russell

I’m all for redemption and rehabilitating. The “too young to know what they were involved in”. The “poverty draft” argument. Etc.

But, all of that relies on those former military or former cops actually realizing what they were a part of and spend the rest of their life speaking out against it and actually working to a restorative justice. If all you do is “feel bad” and have PTSD from killing children.

Unfortunately, when you die being a modern day Nazi, I’m not gonna waste my time thinking or caring about “if” any of those things could have happened. I’m just glad you’re dead and not hurting people anymore.

Can someone explaine to me why we don’t call current soldiers “pedophile protectors” the same way we do with the Guardians of Pedophiles?

“Your dad died defending his town and family from invaders killing kids in thrid world countries under the orders of a corrupt pedophilic administration to expand the imperalism of a settler-colonial superamacist gnocidal aparthied.”

    i mean… he was a nazi.
