Yeah I don’t think I’ve seen a tower defence where you’re actually walking a character around to build your defences, usually “tower defence” makes me think of classic 2D flash games
IIRC, Sanctum (and its sequel) did this.
Dungeon defenders 1 and 2, Orcs Must Die (however many of them are released by now).
They exist, but admittedly lot less common than 2d topdown ones
Orcs must die is the only 3d tower defense I need! My friends and I still play it coop regularly.
