So you’re saying The Independent shouldn’t use it at all?
So you’re saying The Independent shouldn’t use it at all?
Not using the word was a choice
Oh, ok. She must not have raped him otherwise the article would have said so, right?
Just a little molestation that resulted in a pregnancy. Not rape, though.
Skin so crispy, I wonder if the face meat below it is tender
Yeah, exactly. When your life is on fire, putting out the flames is a lot more pressing than finding who started it.
Coverage. A lot more coverage. Farewell speeches happen once every 4 years so it’s much more novel than the constant campaign trail news (which was largely dominated by whatever distraction the other side was cooking up)
The thing that infuriates me is that the only two people allowed to run on the Democrat side were people Democrat voters didn’t really want to vote for. I’m sooooo tired of voting for “at least they’re not [other candidates]”
(Don’t get the wrong idea, I sure as hell voted anyway)

My friend is an HVAC guy and spends a lot of his days in the basement of high rises with no service. He gets home and has 2 kids to take care of and by the time he’s done, physical labor has taken its toll and he’s too sleepy to do much besides watch a comedy special before bed.
I have WFH computer job so I get to stay informed but it feels like the average American just doesn’t have time to keep up with the insanity of modern politics.
I swear he could have been communicating like this all along and it wouldn’t have mattered. The average person tuned out election coverage completely and even if they didn’t, the news would have hardly covered it.
Because it doesn’t look like an Onion headline?
I’m saying ruling out an employer because someone convinced HR to that the AI for filtering candidates is a good idea is A bad move because of how prevalent it is. You’re locking yourself out of potentially good employment unless you work in tech.
And I’m also saying that it’s a green flag if a company says “resumes clearly written by chatgpt will be ignored” because it means they give a shit about the content of it
There’s been a lot but I don’t blame you for not following them. However, I’m surprised you haven’t even heard about the “popular” ones like killing junk fees and one-click canceling of services.
I dunno, it’s stupid as fuck but I don’t think it’s not a red. It’s unfortunately the norm so companies are willing to at least try it
It’s a big GREEN flag if they explicitly state AI resumes will be filtered and trashed, though!
Man, fuck off with that attitude. This isn’t like Biden trying to score points on his way out or the Trump report getting released, the FTC did a ton of good shit the past few years and stuff takes time. They’re rushing all this at the last minute because they have to.
The more they push through, the more time the next admin has to spend dealing with it. I’m sure they know a ton of it will get rolled back but…all of it? Maybe not. Inundating them is all they can do now.
I would have liked to see this sooner but most (all?) of the other issues they tackled were more important than this one
Hey man…leave the kid out of it. Kids rely on their parents for their health and habits, it’s not their fault they weren’t vaccinated!
Mine don’t but they’re not regulated. I looked it up,
Some type of remote ID may be required in the future, but how the system would work and the requirements has not been finalized.
It’s an interesting situation to me because I really don’t know where I stand on it. I’m pretty against government overreach but it’s proven time and time again that we live amongst morons who think they know best…
I guess the “political climate” lately has me on edge but I really do think I’ll see a civilian-flown drone accidentally cause an aviation catastrophe in my lifetime.
I think so? I don’t fly commercially (I have a racing and “indoor” drone) so I’m not sure.
And yeah, it’s a felony. But a felony doesn’t undo the damage.
I’m not advocating either way, I see both sides of the argument as having good points
