Trump Faces 2,000 Tariff Lawsuits After Supreme Court Loss - TT

The justices were silent on the refund question, leaving questions of payback to the New York-based U.S. Court of International Trade. No one expects a speedy resolution.

Finally the excuse the courts needed to postpone illegal detention cases even further. If the detainees die in their concentration camps the administration won again.

But hey, maybe I’ll get $12 back through some class action bullshit.

This could’ve all been avoided if they just taxed business more…

Trump won’t pay a cent. The taxpayer will have to fork it over.

Again. The US citizenship paid the first time. Should be comical watching them have to pay it a second time which is almost a guarantee with Trump and admin in tow.

Heck they’re probably already working out how to stiff them with the bill.

Twice. All these corpos are wanting to pocket the money that they passed to you in price hikes.

Except Cards Against Humanity. They’re refunding back 100% of whatever tarrif shit that’s returned to them.

Said this earlier, but the tariffs should be returned to the consumer as a tax credit for a certain amount. Will it give everyone the exact amount they paid? No. But at least it returns the money to the people and not to the corporations who will just keep it. It’s about as fair of a way as you can get without ending up in accounting hell.

Wait if CostCo wins means they now must pay all the members correct? Because we all fucking know they didn’t pay that tax the customers did.

Out of all the corporations, Costco is probably the only one I’d have any faith in making it right for their customers.

Costco isn’t going give money back. They could easily, you have to scan your membership card before check out. But they aren’t, but nice if they did.

Well, they could go back through the receipts they have saved, but that would require someone to do actual work to figure out how much each customer is owed. It would be terrible to pay an employee to do that, when the CEO could just pocket the money.

They don’t have to do that. You must scan your membership card each time you checkout. Bet million they have record of everything you every bought from them.

They should make it so that people have to show up for these things rather than just send a lawyer… And make it so they have to physically receive the summons. Wear the old bastard down.

But Trump already gave tax cuts to corporations and was planning on using tariff revenue to make up the difference.
