Keep the trend going!
The names are there on the Wikipedia page I’ve link in black and white. You deciding that it’s a conspiracy theory simply because one name is that of a Rothschild, and another that of an ex CIA director, doesn’t change the facts (eg. That they are invested in the company responsible for the exploration and extraction of oil in the area. Similar to Cheney’s Haliburton during the Iraq campaign. This sort of thing is more common that you probably realize).
As for how poor and hungry citizens might face up to the bullets and tanks of a brutal regime, this video describes some of how that might go (making clear that all changes of power need wealthy backing/arms):

Your view of the world sounds quite idealic to me, I wish it were the case. I wish the people simply overthrew the dictator in a simple good vs bad conflict. I really wish the world was that way. I really do.
Wow, what a coincidence that waaay back in 2009, James Woolsey (ex-CIA director), Dick Cheney, Rupert Murdoch, and a member of the Rothschild family all just happened to invest big time in an oil company trying to make this happen:

Why it’s almost like the geopolitical and military industrial complex wanted it to happen just to serve them - the ruling classes. Isn’t that just a whacky coincidence.
I’m sure a country wasn’t ruined to do just that right? Surely not. Why that would be like the ruling classes and supposed “democracy” we have in the west is just thinly veiled system of Colonial Capitalism, operating no different to 100 years ago.
So like a pub, only less deadly, with less fights and alcohol poisoning.
Literally yes, it’s part of why art is sublime. All emotions are irrational to some extent.
Trying to get over your work related burnout through doing more work - is probably the dumbest AND worst idea I’ve heard in a while. Why would anyone do that other than that they’re in a kind of pathological denial or hace unresolved issues driving such behavior.
It’s irrational.
Part of why Lemmy can federate and why they’re so innovative is because they’re not stored in a traditional server space, instead, theyre run on old Bitcoin graphics cards . Some of which AMD 600 - 1000 series, are supposedly easier to network and run in parallel, so when I talk about AMD Lemmy, I mean using thise parts of Lemmy as a bridge, or network gateway to Threads.
I love how this is painted as hacking when the root cause is an unrestricted number of telco subsideries that pay for access to the system, this then essentially gives them the powers and credentials to monitor, intercept, and clone anyone’s phone and send/receive their messages/calls (Linus Tech Tips teamed up with Derek from Veritasium to show the extent to which it can be done, stealing his identity to intercept texts to and from his wife).
This is a product of the market deregulations of Capitalism. Capitalism is once again a security risk to citizens of free democracies. Shit happens all the time.
BlueSky seems like an obviously better fit. The more corporate interests are protected on and by Lemmy the less interesting it is…
…and plaves like c/News are already there to mostly protect and defend corporate interests.

Blizzard wants to hide the fact that Warcraft and Warcraft II were fun, and in a completely different genre than WoW…
…and they weren’t subscription model games. I liked those games. Good Solo games, very replayable with various AI skirmish modes, and you could even get a map editor.
I mean give OpenAi refused to sell to Musk, and Musk has his own competing product (Gronk) - I think he wants just one of them to implode. Might be able to accomplish that with four years in office, definitely will if this “team” manages to stay around longer.
You kind of have to Intervene before they win an election.
This was a Rupert Murdoch campaign against Social Media called “let them be kids”.
Okay, pay X amount of dollars to go say that in a few court cases, and hope you get a judge that understands.
That’s why it’s called Patent Trolling because it’s not official or legitimate.
“Not meeting companies hopes” and “not being mainstream” are two different things…
…and at the end you shift goal posts further to “mainstream success”.
It’s mainstream, just not as widely used as the people who write these articles want.
I doubt any corporate product is as popular as the corporation wants. That’s the point of corporations, they always want more, 100% usage wouldn’t be enough, that’s why things like planned obsolescence, and premium versions exist, so that users can own multiple versions of the same product.
