Oh so you can just decline a judges order in America?

    Request? Curious phrasing, ABC.

If I were to decline, I’m certain they would find a stronger word than request.

“ICE has considered returning Petitioner to the United States to the status quo that existed immediately prior to her removal, but respectfully declines to pursue this course of action,”

We thought about it, and decided not to. WTAF?

The use of the term “respectfully” is particularly odious here.

Especially considering it’s a court order. Literally saying “no I don’t think I will” to a federal judge is wild.

Are you implicating that he might be on the Epstein list? I’d guess that he’s not rich enough.

“Request”? Is that what they call court orders now?

No, the judge made a request after the court order was violated.

I understand that there is a presumption that these things are mistakes but at this point the judicial system needs to start finding the us government in contempt quickly, because it’s clear it isn’t acting in good faith.

The article doesn’t mention why was she deported in the first place and why a judge ordered that she remains.

Regardless, disobeying judicial orders is becoming the norm these day

They are only orders in name, the judicial system is lost as no one will enforce it (unless you are poor, bonus points if also not white).
