At the inaugural meeting of his self-styled Board of Peace earlier this month, Donald Trump declared peace in the Middle East while simultaneously threatening to plunge the region into devastating conflict by again attacking Iran. Within 10 days, Trump followed through on that promise, teaming up with Israel to unleash a widespread campaign of deadly airstrikes in Iran that have thrust the Middle East into regional war.

It was one of numerous incongruities that surfaced during the bizarre first meeting of Trump’s Temu United Nations.

“In terms of prestige, there’s never been anything close because these are the greatest world leaders, almost everybody has accepted, and the ones that haven’t will,” Trump proclaimed before he grasped a diminutive gold-colored mallet and gaveled out the conclave to strains of the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a member of the group’s executive board, could be seen standing alone in the background as Trump glad-handed some of the assembled world leaders. Rubio skulked off before Laura Branigan’s 1982 hit “Gloria” began to play.

FFS, it’s not “Board of Peace”. It’s “Bored of Peace”!

How many times it needs to be repeated. It was a typo on the initial trump announcement, and all the MSM are republishing the typo verbatim.

    It’s so obvious

      The Imperialist Way.

Be violent af, then say hey let’s have peace but we control and own everything and you must work for us, and you can’t hurt us because of laws we made, that would make you terrorists. You wouldn’t want to be called violent savages now, would you?

“Be thankful, you’re living in the most peaceful time in all of history”

It was one of numerous incongruities that surfaced during the bizarre first meeting of Trump’s Temu United Nations.

Yeah I mean, pretty obvious this is all just kind of a sick joke to him and his handlers. All of it.

Why does he do any of the things he does? Why would he base his campaign on making Americans aware of the Epstein files (knowing he’s in them) and then refuse to release them?

Why would he run on being the peace time president then start so many unjust wars over oil?

Because he can. He’s a treasonous little bitch, shitting on the constitution at home and making a mockery of America abroad, but he’s simply playing the role he was selected to play.

It’s unclear if he actually realizes the end game for himself, or if he’s too much of a demented narcissist. If he is aware, maybe he just figures the ends near anyway, so he might as well just dissociate and enjoy the ride while his favorite songs play in the background.

The point is to destabilize America so that Americans do what Trump is claiming he hopes the Iranians will do now that he’s taken out their leader for them.

    Outsourcing regime change

    Allegedly, anyway.

The truth is that even if the Iranian people do what they’re supposed to do, and topple the remaining pieces of the regime, the Oligarch who will replace Khamenei had already been selected long before bombs started dropping on Saturday.

Who is Reza Pahlavi? A royal in exile, Iran’s youngest pilot, and a potential successor after Khamenei’s death

Yeah I mean, pretty obvious this is all just kind of a sick joke to him and his handlers. All of it.

It’s not merely a joke. This is a real and functional international cartel. Trump’s doing The Five Families shit on a global stage. All of these members cooperate with the US military and proliferate US technologies. All of them profit off the exploitation of captured human labor. All of them are ravenously hungry for fossil fuels. All of them want to encroach on their neighbors’ borders.

The point is to destabilize America

It’s to destabilize local power structures within the domestic polity and consolidate more authority through the chief executive. An easier feat in a small country like Hungary or Argentina or Israel or Azerbaijan than the mega-states of India, Indonesia, the US, or Pakistan. But by cartelizing military and surveillance powers, this new Rogue UN can leverage (at least the appearance of) cooperation to bring whatever’s left of the democratic interior under a new kind of martial law.

The truth is that even if the Iranian people do what they’re supposed to do, and topple the remaining pieces of the regime, the Oligarch who will replace Khamenei had already been selected long before bombs started dropping on Saturday.

Reza Pahlavi is a useful idiot who can operate as a “legitimate” figurehead in the country. But he’s not going to be in charge, any more than Abdel Fattah el-Sisi runs Egypt or Ahmed al-Sharaa runs Syria or King Abdullah II runs Jordan. He’ll be on the end of a US/Israeli leash.

    Bored of Piss.

Putin’s all too happy to have a ready-made rogue’s gallery for which not only his cultists have an object for their 2-minute hatred but also a reason to keep the West splintered with his propaganda machine, thanks to techbros giving him the megaphone.

This isn’t your typical American hostile takeover of a sovereign nation though.

Like, usually we drag it out, there’s some cat + mouse, the president doesn’t say the quiet part out loud. We might drone strike a couple of kids, but we won’t bomb a whole damn school. Let alone take out the leader.

And then have practically no plan following it? Trump’s first announcement after the attack made it seem like creating a power vacuum was the whole intent. Subsequent announcements make it seem more like “beatings will continue until morale improves”, or rather “we’ll just keep bombing you till you make the government we want”.

It’s like constantly hitting “next” while you’re on shuffle trying to get Macarena by Los del Rio, and you’ve got like 20,000 songs to go through. And even when Man in the Mirror comes on and you can see Macarena right there you’re like, “not good enough” and keep shuffling. Don’t even pause for a minute to appreciate how good of a song Man in the Mirror is. Nope. Gotta shuffle. Dale a tu cuerpo alegría, Macarena.

Last time the US had a regime change on Iran they installed a dictator as well, that part unfortunately isn’t unique to trump.

Or replacing a functional government with a temporarily friendly goon.

That’s worked really well every other time.
