Many companies, including the big-box warehouse chain Costco, have already lined up in court to demand refunds.

    “Where is the money, Lebowski?”

I don’t suppose the big companies’ small customers will see any of those refunds?

That probably depends on the company. Costco famously makes almost all of their operating profit on membership fees. Their margins on sales are razor thin, and in several notable cases (rotisserie chickens, hot dogs, etc) they actually sell at a loss because they refuse to raise prices in response to market conditions.

SC saves trump from himself. Stimulus as money gets out back, prices lower, he declares victory

It’ll be interesting to see if he’s dumb enough to apply different tariffs out of petulance

This is the asshole that sat there and told the media that he had to put extra tariffs on Switzerland because he didn’t like the way they talked to him.

So because he, personally, got his panties in a twist over how a person talked to him, he was willing to sign up all of US to pay extra for products from that country.

So yeah, I think he’s exactly the sort of fragile little snowflake to try it again.

i believe the only path for tariffs now involves congress (as it should), and i doubt congress wants to do this song and dance again, these companies that were affected are big donors afterall.

Fuck off Supreme Court. I have it on good authority that The President is immune to any legal action for any presidential acts.
