Back in March, President Donald Trump signed an executive order targeted at the Smithsonian Institution that began as follows: “Over the past decade, Americans have witnessed a concerted and widespread effort to rewrite our Nation’s history, replacing objective facts with a distorted narrative driven by ideology rather than truth.”
It’s not even a year, and they gutted it’s systems, institutions and beliefs. Shaped people’s minds and began intereference on international scale. Burned bridges, built walls and set up traps.
No matter what happens now, changes made by anything close to being “progressive” in USA system are too slow and, most probably, will fail to revert the changes. If they even get selected, or get a chance to be selected.
I am not from USA, but I am patriot for my country and seeing a huge, proud country like USA fall in such a short time is nothing but terrifying. A humble reminder of how brittle are the systems we create, and how much they rely on others “playing fair”.
The US isn’t collapsing in a short time this has been building for decades and is a prime example of an old quote “The fall of empires is slow right until it isn’t”. The fact of the matter is the collapse of the American Empire was inevitable since the Louisiana purchase, had expansion stopped at the Appalachian or at least slowed for longer the accumulated cracks could’ve been solved but alas that is long done history. Don’t look at the US as a nation it’s an empire originally built on a civic mythology the failure of the empire is directly correlated to the death of said civic mythology.
Anyways use the United States as the United States used the Roman Republic, an object lesson and a warning.
The US has been declining for decades. It is now just accelerating as the cracks are reaching a critical level and the structural integrity of the entire system is collapsing.
This has been inevitable as the elites clinging to wealth and power only ever grabbed more of it, instead of relenting the injustice. In that sense it is also necessary for something better to be built after. Until then things will get worse at an accelerating pace, but the faster people step in and take back control, the fast this can be over.
A lot of people like to speculate about the future, but usually, it’s meant to be a reassurance: “It couldn’t happen here!”
It’s often that we see that such speculation was horrendously naive. All of it was built on assumptions like “people can’t be that stupid” or “people wouldn’t just let that happen”. Yeah. About that.
This may be basic stuff, but people tend to forget the basic stuff.
I’m gonna be honest, I think USA is lost.
