I would have just said no, but I don’t know if military can do that:
“The personnel action was reversed, though, when it was determined that no other pilot was immediately available to operate the aircraft for the return flight.”
I imagine that would be a career-limiting decision for a military pilot.
If he instead acts “professionally”, which means putting up with her bullshit for the rest of the day, then he has a decent chance of getting quickly reassigned to a role where he doesn’t have to deal with her again.

so basically she told him he was fired then realized pilots don’t grow on trees and immediately reversed it?
Would have been so hilarious after all that if he just told her to call an Uber.
Yeah can’t really say no to orders in the military. (Unless they are obviously unlawful)
With talk like that, expect a lawsuit from the administration. How dare you!
And that’s only kinda true. You have to prove that the order had no way of being lawful basically.
Which a JAG officer would be able to help with.
If they haven’t all been fired yet.
I literally would have told her to fuck off. Or at least delay the ever living fuck out of the flight.
“Sorry, I’m already drunk.”

Which , I’m sure, would make him very happy.
He should fly the plane like he’s eluding fighter jets or SAMs. Maybe throw in a barrel roll or two. Definitely should go hard on takeoff and landing.
“Sorry, I need to poop. For the next four hours.”
