i had covid-19 recently , in sept the extremely painful sore throat, i believe it partially triggered my background atopic dermatitis an early flareup.

also funny thing is during the whole fever/symptomatic phase the dermatitis rash “turned off” a sign is when the dead dry skin starts flaking instead of being bumpy or red, and my skin was very smooth. it did suppress the immune system long enough for that to happen, i think its the rebound effect. i do hear that some peoples AD gets worst under COVID, and others just shuts off like mines ,temporarily.
Super interesting. Maybe your immune system wasn’t so much suppressed, but just too occupied with everything else being on fire to focus on only your skin… But then why would it get worse for other people instead? Both COVID and bodies are really annoyingly complicated.
