The Virginia Senate is getting on about states’ rights again. They issued UVA an ultimatum: if UVA accepts the Trump compact, they lose all state funding.
That is an awesome and admirable move. Even if Trump was right he shouldn’t be dictating what state universities do.
Even if the state university wants to discriminate against black people? The federal government does control funds for compliance with things like civil rights.
It does feel odd to conflate discrimination with whitewashing history
There shouldn’t be any fucking “loyalty oaths” in a free country. Tell Taco to pound sand.
They have and will continue to do damage on behalf of the US government.
