If we don’t teach the ugly truth about our history, how can we work to make our country a better place.

Does Elon think South Africa should forbid teaching about Apartheid? (Yeah. Of course I know the answer there…)

The South Africa where he was born was also stolen land, and he’s still salty the real South Africans took it back.

“Kids knowing the truth makes them hate America”

… or maybe just the version of America peddled wherein all of its sins must be worshipped instead of repudiated?

Of course, theft and bigotry are the highest of all values to cretins like Musk

I mean, patriotism is inherently a fallacy of illusory superiority used by countries to brainwash their citizens into, frankly, accepting less than they deserve. That and it’s a pretty smooth entrance in a pipeline toward nationalism and xenophobia

The modern law continues: if Elon says it’s good, it is bad; if Elon says it’s bad, it’s good

The far-right brand of patriotism espoused by MAGA is, yeah, but there’s a patriotism that says that, out of love for my country I have to fight for the lives, rights and wellbeing of everyone in it.
