An editor for the YouTube streamer MrBeast and a former California governor candidate are the first two people revealed by prediction market Kalshi to face disciplinary actions for insider trading.

The company said it had opened 200 investigations into potential violations of its trading rules over the past year - over a dozen of which have become “active cases”.

Prediction markets have surged in popularity in the US, with companies like Kalshi and Polymarket letting users bet on everything from sports to politics. But concerns about wagers placed on inside information have proliferated.

Kalshi said it suspended the two users accused of violating its rules.

Kinda the pot calling the kettle black tho because im pretty sure its the brokers like kalshi who are pumping search results with AI slop like this one just from yesterday. Yes I bit on it. If I win, its cuz Im a genious. If I lose its because I was bug testing if the broker was suseptable to reporting delays. Tons of the sports market terms state spicific aources that are acceptable as confirmation. I saw the bet line, as a Bills fan, I panicked Id have to put up with the POS Hill on my team, googled the bet looking to see what Sal Capaccio or anyother beat reporters had to say. Thats when I saw the AI slop article. Knew it was either fake AI slop or I entertained the very very very slim liklihood that the news couldve been leaked to a pod caster who isnt affiliated with team or news source. So fuck it I placed it and in the mean time I scrolled through the site taking random samples of markets making rhetorical prediction and sure as shit theyre.everywhere.

Here is the link to the article but it never opens in my browser unless I laste it into incognito tab: https://nationaltoday.com/us/fl/miami/news/2026/02/24/buffalo-bills-sign-veteran-receiver-tyreek-hill/
