I don’t understand this complaint. Paywalls are pretty easily bypassed if you really want and journalists need to eat. If they’re subscriber supported rather than ad supported then at least the financial pressure they are under is to provide the customer with the best product, rather than the advertiser.
That’s fine. Enjoy your paid sources. Nothing against that at all. But do you subscribe to the same ones I do? Posting articles that are paywalled on social media is annoying at best and a suspicious form of advertising at worst.
