Gov. Tim Walz has activated the National Guard after 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti was shot and killed by a federal officer in Minneapolis, drawing hundreds of protesters.
If he was legally allowed to open carry a gun (appears to be the case), was not even holding it at the time of his first interactions with LE (per current videos, appears to be the case even if unconfirmed as of yet - it appears he was holding his phone), and was shot almost execution style (ditto), in what way is that expected? You are blaming an apparently law abiding citizen for his own death. That’s not only morally reprehensible but factually dishonest and undercutting your own alleged support at the knees.
I’m not sure how you read a comment pissed off at internet bystanders continually howling for people to bring guns to protests and decided that meant I was blaming him for being murdered.

Getting hit by a car is the expected result of riding a bike in the street here, if you do it long enough, which is why I don’t do it even though it’s legal. That doesn’t mean it’s the cyclist’s fault if they get hit or that the driver is blameless.
…if you are legally allowed to ride a bike in a road and you are hit by someone for doing that, then that person is still legally responsible for hitting you.
