If you’re going to make broad generalizations about every trans person like that, I mean, maybe. There are trans people that read HP and trans people that don’t GAF.

If you mean this about any Christmas, seasonal, 4th of July, Halloween, Easter, etc events… sure. But taking out just the Pride event is targeted.
It’s like water sanitation. Mixing 100 liters of tainted water with 1 liter of clean water doesn’t give you 101 liters of clean water. It doesn’t even give you 100 liters of dirty water and 1 liter of clean water, it gives you 101 liters of dirty water. That’s why ACAB.
I thought this had to be an onion headline at first, but didn’t he also do this during his first presidency? I seem to remember something about him tearing up a garden.
Get a couple of analog meat thermometers, you don’t want the worms in them bad boys.
May every raid these fucks try to do be in the afternoon heat in full gear, with a raging hangover.
If they’re high quality editors who consistently put out a lot of edits then yeah, it is meaningful and insightful. Wikipedia exists because of them and only them. If most feel like they do and stop doing all this maintenance for free, then Wikipedia becomes a graffiti wall/ad space and not an encyclopedia.
Thinking the immediate disgust of the people doing all the work for you for free is meaningless is the best way to nose dive.
Also, you literally had to scroll past a very long and insightful comment to get to that.
Man, I’m tired of reliving the Dubya years.
Go have this fight with someone that wants to have it and didn’t make it clear that kind of behavior isn’t alright. Maybe somewhere other than on a thread about cops threatening to come assault protesters in their homes.
Interesting that a Californian making a callous comment about living in hurricane country is somehow equivalent to the conservative media industry absolutely cheering bloodshed any time natural disasters strike us. 🙄 If California celebrated like this any time, much less every time, a natural disaster hit somewhere else it would have its own dedicated conservative channel playing it on loop.
I’ve lived through multiple hurricanes because I haven’t always lived in California. People from everywhere say that stupid shit about hurricane prone areas. Take the chip off your shoulder.
Conservatives are unironically like this. They cheer when we have earthquakes and fires.
I like to imagine they were just found in random shoes over the day that people lost/forgot. Someone gets to Vegas and goes ah, fuck, I lost my coke shoe!
You know that parking deck or whatever they’re all sleeping in smells like farts and piss by now.
Cool and normal! 😬
All the comments from all cross posts on a single page is great. You can also add your own user flair like you could on Reddit, which lemmy doesn’t support. I haven’t messed with it much yet, but the ability to make lists of communities into feeds also seems really useful.
Reminder that if you were born before 1989 in the US, your MMR vaccine may not be up to date. Prior to 1989 one shot was considered fully vaccinated, then they switched to two. One shot protects something like 93% of people and the second vaccine bumps it up to something like 97%. If you don’t have your vaccine records you can have your doctor check your immunity with a blood test.
It’s in the US, so it’s Aldi Süd. Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe’s in the US.
I’m glad, stay safe! Grab some N95 or KN95 masks for outdoor use too while you’re at it 👍
Yes! A single camp fire can only put out so much wood smoke, but wildfires cause all the air around you to be saturated with smoke. The smoke can contain heavy metals and all other kinds of bad shit to breathe, because it’s not just dry wood the way camp fires are. The contents of any homes or cars that have burned are also now floating around in the atmosphere.
TL;DR: don’t breathe this
I didn’t say I agreed with either of those groups of trans people. They just exist, and flattening trans people as a whole into a one dimensional caricature to frame yourself as a victim is crass any time, doubly so during Pride month.
