Two people familiar with the situation told The Associated Press that more than 6,000 immigrants' Social Security numbers are being canceled, which will effectively wipe out their ability to work or receive benefits, in an effort to get them to leave the country.

    Haha, he is literally canceling people he doesn’t like, who got their social security numbers legally at the time they got them. Quite literally “unaliving” their financial identity in the US.

    If this stands, this won’t be the last group he attacks.

    Non-citizens pay into social security without receiving any benefits. There is no positive to doing this.

      I think these are naturalized citizens. The federal government is attacking it’s own citizens. I’m not sure how long we collectively put up with this.

          I want to support the movement, but every time I go a protest I’m surrounded by tankies

            I guess you missed the post where everyone was complaining the protests are only filled with centrist libs? How many actual tankies exist in the US, do you think? Maybe all of them live in your city.
