The headline should use “soars” instead of “soar” because the subject is “number of Americans.” The number soars; you don’t say “the number soar.”
Editors with actual grammatical chops when?
True. It could be misread as
Emergency Savings Soar
What are savings?
Do I need a nonnegative credit score to apply for one? Can I use chatgpt to apply for one?
/sI think it’s that thing well-off people have so they don’t have to eat the rich when the end days come. I’m only guessing though; that’s definitely not my demographic.
Even if I had savings, id still help hunt them down; I’d just let someone else have my piece.
About once a year I see a fleeting glimpse of “savings” and I remind myself to catch them this time but then invariably something else comes up like, idk, having to buy new shoes.
Thanks trump!
I wonder if it’s related to current economic policy…
This number has been going up for years, same with credit card debt… People are making the same amount they did years ago, while inflation is going up out of control since covid… and prices for everything have been going up…
What do you do?
As usual with such news I need to add:
This has been the case for a long time in the USA, before even Trump 1.0, and it has only gotten worse. “America first” my ass.
