Fuck Elon, but as for St. Clair, that’s awesome. Good on her. We need more people who know it’s okay to admit they were wrong and change their mind.
I think it’s one of the most admirable qualities a person can have.
Sometimes politicians get a bad rap for flipping positions or sides, like Elizabeth Warren did, but that’s a quality I want in a politician. I want people to say, “I have new information and I was wrong before, lets make it right.”
As a parent, you can be 2 kinds of bigot.
You can be the bigot who after their child comes out to them, maybe struggles but has a change of heart, and comes to terms with it and remains a loving parent.
Or, you can double down and essentially get removed from your child’s life.
One can always hope for a change of heart as well… but I think Elon at this point has infinity’d down on his bigotry.
What did I miss with Elizabeth Warren?
Oh nothing new. Back in the day she was a republican. She thought Republicans had better economic policies but when she really dug into that and the social issues, she realized it was all bullshit and switched to being a democrat. This was in 1996.
Sometimes I see people give her a hard time about it, but I can respect it.
Holy shit. I had no idea. My awareness of her came into being when she already seemed sane.
