true, and it looks that good without trying to shove raytracing and stuff like that down your throat so it runs smoothly on real computers and not just Nvidia’s latest cash grab.

yeah the story isn’t amazing but everything else is the best ever made
anything that matters in that game is introduced or explained in it.
if you haven’t, please play just cause 3. it is genuinely one of the greatest games ever made and the entire premise is: ok here’s your grappling hook, parachute, wingsuit, bombs, and guns, now go blow up every thing and/or person with red on it. there is a story (and it’s decent) but who cares, you upgrade your shit by doing cool stunts and the main mode of progression is a how-much-shit-have-you-blown-up-in-this-area meter.
yeah I wish there was more optimization, but upscaling is still an awesome tool to get extra capability out of older hardware
ofc optimization is still needed, I meant that upscaling improves the maximum you could reasonably get out of your hardware. I’d also like to see actual low options come back bc it’s really annoying not being able to turn the graphics down anymore.
thronefall is a fun little TD/RTS style game with a nice visual style and good rouglite-esque progression.
yeah the aesthetic of the game is perfect

mastodon is already the next twitter, bluesky is just a direct copy of it with nothing keeping it from going the same way. mastodon is open source (can’t be corpoed), federated (can talk to other platforms/instances so being on a small one doesn’t hurt anything), and most importantly, uses a protocol that doesn’t make self-hosting impossible due to storage requirements.
@atomicpoet@atomicpoet.org I think mastodon should implement a post-to-community type thing like mbin has for microblog posts. It (and all other fedi. platforms, really) also needs like a tutorial or smth to show how to actually use the federation features of the platform.
if they do that we’ll never get another good Batman game.
what I’m talking about is more that running away isn’t actually an option unless you can win the fight already because if you try to run they can just instantly knock you down.
hopefully the combat system is improved so you actually have a chance of at least escaping when fighting more than one enemy
there goes what’s left of my time
just saw that yesterday. I hadn’t updated yet when I made that comment. glad it’s there even if only in beta because switching stuff like that sucks normally.
the dev for the mobile app said he’s working on that in the matrix channel
I’ve got one of my friends thinking of switching to Lemmy or mbin.
this is my corner of the internet
2 is absolutely worth it, but man 3 is probably one of my favorite games ever.
