They need ASML for the new factories, so they’ll have to buy it anyway. That should make up for the loss of revenue on the other products and services Netherlands lose to the Tariffs and US DEI demands

I can see its products but I don’t see the investors on wikipedia
There are Youtube videos you can search on ‘how not to draw attention’ or ‘becoming a gray man’
If no one notice you then you won’t be bothered.
Most of the time, you’ll run into people who are busy with their own problems and won’t put an effort to keep following you or harass you unless you give them a reason to.
I think, in general, people who buy EV are the ones a bit more concerned about environment, which lean to the left and a bit more tolerant. So you probably can charge up your car on exclusively EV charging locations

After that I never got randomly searched anymore whenever I go through the airport.
I think once they know everything and judged that I’m not going to be a problem, I stopped getting flagged.
From the news, this time feels a bit different.
Unfortunately I’ll avoid crossing the border until things settle down in a few years. I don’t want to get whisked away by ICE for looking at someone funny
rxbudian@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•If Trump thinks the Russia-Ukraine war is horrible and many people are dying, what does he expect to happen if he annexes Canada?English2·16 days agoUS shouldn’t annex Canada. If Canada becomes the 51st state, Canadians will have easier access to better weapons to do damage to US infrastructure. You can see how Ukraine can mess with Russia
If US is going to prevent Canadians from crossing the border, there’s 5000 miles of border that US has to protect. There is no end of grief pissed of Canadians can do to screw up US interests

The Canadian dollar is really cheap and American grocery is cheaper here…
When you buy discounted tarriffed US products, you get to buy cheaper groceries and Canada gets some money from the tarrifs, it’s a win-win
