Whisky isn’t perishable
Controlling that kind of speech on the platform is bad, unmasking user identities at the request of the government is worse
I heavily dislike a lot of Doug Ford’s decisions he’s made for this province, but I can give him credit for not falling into the culture war BS like his federal counterparts.
They didn’t go deep enough into one small part of a huge investigation and you call the reporting lazy? Fuck off
Twitch has been babying Piker for years. He’s violated their TOS so frequently that I’m surprised they didn’t give him a kiss on the forehead for this
I’ve voted against Doug Ford 3 times now, but saying he’s more bark than bite isn’t really true. He’s already directed the LCBO to pull American booze from shelves and cease new orders.
Not at all, please don’t Americanize our politics
LCBO is actively removing American products from shelves.
I do think there’s more technical problems related to decoupling a massive load from the grid, but Ford does seem to be following through with at least some of the promised retaliations. Time will tell if he keeps it up.
Ranked choice voting within each riding would be a good compromise that I think most of the country would be ok with. Plenty of us still like having a local representative chosen by locals.
It would be terrible for our country, just look at the impact the mere thought of tarrifs has had on our economy. A full renegotiation of the US Canada trade border would be chaos.
Europeans are cool and I wish we had your public transit, but EU membership of a NA country will never happen.
The Canadian economy is also about to crash hard, unfortunately. Possibly worse than the US thanks to our incoming mortgage crisis
We need far fewer condos in this country. They’re practically a scam that lures people in with the promise of “equity”. The vast majority of condos have terrible energy performance because first cost is all that the buyer cares about.
It’s a nice sentiment, but unfortunately we live in a world where public transit infra is scrutinized much harder than roadways. At least with toll roads the extra cost burden isn’t passed onto taxpayers who don’t drive.
Vancouver doesn’t need high speed intercity service, it needs to improve the existing sad excuse for a regional rail network
Support your local journalists! Too many people think news should be free but then complain when they get hit with a paywall or too many ads. Most places don’t want to do these things, but they get desperate if donations aren’t keeping the lights on.
Show this to any automotive engineer and count how many seconds before they start laughing
You’re exactly right on the vibes point. Gould is practically tied at the hip to Trudeau, and would easily give the Conservatives a majority. Honestly I think they’ll win a majority regardless, but Carney might be able to at least keep an official party status.
Congratulations! I’ve got friends who I’m supporting through their efforts to quit so I know how hard it is.
