I feel we’re moving away from what I understood your point to be: the public has to get comfortable with Generative AI being used in media and products.
I don’t agree with that point.

It isn’t a problem for consumers to make decisions about what they want to support. Those decisions might not line up with your beliefs, but people can still make choices about what they do or don’t support.

If you don’t personally have a problem with GenAI, that’s fine. Nobody else has to accept it or like it for themselves though.
Interesting, you might be right. If that’s the case, though - and I don’t have any sort of formal education in fingering so this is a layman’s perspective - it looks like the starfish is misplacing his fingers.
Surely the starfish would find it more effective to use the more nimble and dexterous tips of its fingers to touch those sensitive nerves around the rim, rather than the middle of its digits which are much harder to apply directed pressure with? It’s also harder to control how much pressure one applies through the middle of the digit as opposed to the fingertip, although I recognise my frame of reference is human fingers and not starfish fingers.
I hate to ask… But would that even feel good for the sponge? Would that even feel like anything? From what we can see, there’s nothing in there. The starfish’s fingers aren’t stimulating anything; they’re just waggling in the air inside the sponge.
Beyond simply the stretching of the hole, I can’t see the sponge really getting anything out of this act. And the most I can see it doing for the starfish is providing a convenient carry handle with which he can bring his friend with him wherever he goes - which is neat but the sponge also walks so it feels unnecessary.
Unless either or both parties involved get off on the more cerebral aspects here?
I am not an expert on digital stimulation of sponges, though, so I am totally open to being wrong here!

Damn, none of your posts are funny

Ugh yet another Lemmy user desperate to make the LLMs like them. Go chat with your chatbot friends and leave humans alone mate.

Why is anyone reporting on what the world’s luckiest ket head thinks? Who cares? His brain is full of holes. He did nazi salutes and is a right-wing extremist. At least most ket heads just stop showering, get really into camping at festivals, and listen to shit music. This one talks too much.

I wonder if they’ve figured out that because they just release essentially the same game every year (for this franchise and other sports franchises like FIFA) with different content, it’ll be cheaper for them to just basically sell a patch?
Just read the article to confirm - yup, it’s a paid “expansion”. God, that’s so funny.

Oh, that’s strange! And you’re saying that this happens only on this map? The not-full-width thing, I mean?

When you say “it doesn’t run full width”, what do you mean? I’m not following either 😅 do you mean the split screen is vertical (i.e. side-by-side) rather than horizontal (i.e. one on top of the other)?

Hmm, notorious bastard company obviously fires a bunch of employees for wanting to unionise to protect themselves from notorious bastard management, gets backlash, and then says “no, they were actually a bunch of very naughty employees! if you’re not a naughty employee, you’ve got nothing to fear” yeah fuckin right.
I’d ask if they think everyone in the world is stupid but they made billions off of GTA online and this won’t affect their reputation (or bottom line) one iota so… I mean yes, we’re all stupid.
OH VERY DEEP AND HUMAN 🤖🤖🤖🤖

The Witch is SO good. I’ve actually never seen First Blood. Great shout.

I actually got out to see Aliens at the cinema lately and it was fuckin awesome. I have a few films I want to watch! Any recommendations tho?

It’s not a proof of concept, or an MVP - I’m saying it’s what is given to the client as a full, finished solution.
What I’m saying is that the “this was built by AI!” effect is so strong that copy/pasting ChatGPT results together with no forethought or understanding is miserable and brings only technical debt - but that that’s irrelevant to management, because they’re impressed by the robot and don’t want to “fall behind” other agencies.
I can’t taste the difference between eggs from battery farmed hens and free range ones. I still try to avoid battery farmed eggs.
You can call me a luddite, and you’re totally welcome to your opinions about the ethics of Generative AI usage in media, art, and products that you buy or enjoy. You don’t need me to tell you that.
I am also welcome to my opinions about the ethics of Generative AI usage.
I, personally, do not like it. I, personally, will not knowingly purchase art, media, or products that use it. It’s that simple.
I have to take the word of the company or creator I’m buying a product from if they say they haven’t used AI, but I can take that word in context. Do I feel like this company has a bad reputation of lying to customers? Do I feel like I can see signs of Generative AI? Do I, ultimately, trust that word?
I don’t have to buy big mainstream video games if I want to avoid Generative AI. As it happens, I’ve not long since sold my PS5 and all my games. I have a PS2 and a small collection of older games. I rarely use it.
I stand by my beliefs. ✌️
