Not necessarily, Iran wasn’t taking the threat from Israel and the US seriously when Khamenei the elder was assassinated, but they certainly are now. I think it depends on how much intel Israel is still getting from inside Iran

They’re not thinking that far ahead

First thing I thought of. I wouldn’t put it past our current leadership to think blocking out the sun is a good idea

Is there any evidence this is happening at Ars Technica? They’re pretty transparent about their methods, and obviously tech-savvy. Just because it happened at Teen Vogue doesn’t mean it’s happening at Ars. Conde Nast publications seem to be run pretty independently. Take The New Yorker, their content remains amazing and seems fully independent.

Tbf, I didn’t read the article. But the title…
Say no more. Please

That’s why he was fired

I’d like to know how you jumped from “demonstrators in support of the Iranian government” to “deserves to die.”

It would also task the Justice Department’s antitrust division, which brings civil suits to quash alleged anticompetitive practices, with enforcing the law.
Lmao
The 1936 USSR Constitution was immediately followed by The Great Purge and only lasted 40 years

Does anyone have the numbers on how many people in the US received any sort of gender affirming surgery prior to age 18 in the past decade? I’m going to guess that number is 0.000015% of the population or less.
How many teenage girls got boob jobs with their parent’s permission during that period?
This myth predates AI by a lot

she had a valid visa
I’m sorry, did you miss this part?

No one’s claiming black and brown people aren’t disproportionately targeted by law enforcement. I’m saying the argument that “no one cares when it’s a brown person” is patently false, and that the government-sponsored murders that occur on video are the ones that elicit a strong reaction, regardless of skin color.

Rodney King being brutally assaulted by LAPD was also caught on film, and it also made huge waves nationwide. Two of those officers went to prison and Rodney King was awarded $4 million in damages

I get where you’re coming from, but your argument is completely undermined by the fact that this murder wasn’t captured on video (in addition to only finding out about it 11 months later). The video really is everything. You might recall another person murdered by government officials on video by the name of George Floyd, a black man, whose murder made some pretty serious waves.

How much money was spent?

I think that’s a huge leap. Talarico’s positions are way left of the Democratic establishment, why would they be more “scared” of Crockett than him? He’s got Zionist groups actively campaigning against him because he’s forthright about the Gaza genocide. He’s setting his campaign up against the wealthy and openly criticizing the Democratic party’s subservience to wealthy donors. There just isn’t that much difference between their political positions, and I don’t get your angle.
Here’s a recent headline:
Texas Jewish voters alarmed by James Talarico’s Israel rhetoric
Local leaders said that, without improved outreach from Talarico to address their concerns, they’re likely to vote for Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary

I agree, though after listening to both of them a bunch, I’m supporting Talarico in this election. I hope to continue to see Crockett’s star rise though
Where does that funding come from?
