Not at all. I’m suggesting that people are upset with Israel for more reasons than just the killing. They kill people because they refuse to stop doing those other things which upset others.

Have you considered that even when Israel doesn’t kill children, people get upset about their children being corrupted in other ways instead?

I’ve always found the “games like this” section to be so superficial that it very rarely actually has games which I’d consider to be similar to the one I’m looking at. Just looking at the store right now, for “Aquaria” which I really enjoy, it recommends Skyrim as a similar game. Sure they both are open world adventure RPGs… but I definitely would not consider them to be similar games.
That’s unironically the reason I don’t even attempt to find games on Steam anymore.
I mean, before the Internet people spent a hell of a lot more time just hanging around with a small group of friends. You don’t need to buy expensive tools or reach a prospective audience to do anything like that. Boredom motivates people to find ways to entertain themselves, which has unfortunately been one of the largest casualties of online ‘life.’
I’m not attempting to defend the system as they’re trying to build it, but rather to seek understanding of why they take these actions without imagining them as hateful, soulless people.
You could get a hobby. Maybe try to actually make something interesting out of your life instead of just consuming entertainment?

As long as you keep the files you don’t have to access their servers to play it again. That’s exactly the same as even physical media. It’s not like a company will send you a new DVD for free if you throw out the one you bought.

The second life/metaverse/ virtual reality concept will never be widely accepted by the majority of the populatioj because it just isn’t what the vast majority of people want. They want communication methods that compliment their real world lives.
It’s the same reason that urbanization collapses every time it gets out of hand, as it did in Babylon and Rome before us. The majority of the population doesn’t even WANT to live in an artificial environment, no matter how hard those who wield power attempt to push it on everyone.
