They are pretty expensive for the hardware.
Unless I’m misremembering don’t they charge flagship prices but have midrange specs?

Thank you. It seems she may have had a job in the states illegally. But it doesn’t really say.
I’m a bit curious about this story as my wife is a non-white foreigner and we are debating on having her apply for a tourist visa to visit with me this October. We live together in her country.
I’m just a bit worried something like this would happen to her.
Can someone post the text? I can’t access the site and I think it’s because of my region.
I don’t want to say the country, but when I went with my wife for me to get residency via marriage, this is how it went.
Immigration Officer: Do you have any questions? Me: No Immigration Officer: Sign here and come back in a month with your passport to implement the visa Me: Uhh… That’s it? OK Bye.
Sounds like their plan is working as intended.
So will it be a charge of like neglecting your child or some kind of involuntary manslaughter maybe? I mean, wasn’t this completely preventable?
Just in case anyone is not reading the article. It’s just saying that manufactures can only make new computers with intel 11th gen cpus or later.
I think this is kind of a good thing, that way companies can’t sell old cpus to people who don’t know any better.
Additionally, I read somewhere else that they added some extra AMD CPU’s that were not there before.
I know that I should, and I’m technical enough to understand it. But the point I was making is that many people are not even close to technically proficient to learning it.
I just don’t know how to use databases like those, so I just use excel for my small business.
I think consoles selling at a loss was pretty common. I’m not sure when they switched. Maybe the ps4 era? But who knows.
There is something that feels off about avowed. I only played it for a few hours, and it’s like eating generic brand chocolate.
I can’t quite put my finger on what it is about the game. Now that I think about it, the land seems kind of empty. In Skyrim, there is always something around. Even if it’s just a goat.
This game has little patches of enemies here and there. It also feels a bit linear so far. I’m probably not going to play anymore as everyone I play this, it just makes me want to play Skyrim again.
Maybe I can find a mod that gives me an avowed style want weapon. I really like how the want looks and works.
I think it already has. Basically every modern game works in it. The iGPU is good but some games don’t look great, but the fact that these games will at least be playable is amazing.
I’m playing showed now and it runs and looks great. Of course it’s far from what a modern dgpu can make it look like, but I’m never gaming at a desk again.
I’d like to see them ban Microsoft azure, aws, or whatever Google calls it. Not to mention the numerous smaller providers.
Italians will just pay with crypto to get around payment bans.
Maybe this is how the consoles die. Do they really make that much on hardware?
I’m guessing they make their money on taking a percentage from each game sold on their hardware.
I wonder if we will see the end of PlayStation at some point as people transition to things like the steamdeck.
It has all the benefits of pcgaming and can really just be interacted with like a console.
Why? A lot of people specifically do not use Linux for this reason. Like it or not, those apps are ingrained in the business world.
People are not going to sacrifice their income to use Linux. That is why I have a second computer just for windows for work.
If it weren’t for that, I could just use one computer with 2 user accounts.
We, long-time users of Linux, all have our opinions based on various preferences. The thing is that a lot of these preferences are pretty technical, like Ubuntu having snaps, Fedora and Mints’ flat pak policies, etc…
For the average user, they will not know what this is or even see a difference between the systems at first. The linux community would do better if we could have a unified front on distro recommendations. People will switch distros as they learn and their curiosity grows.
I think, we should ask people to pick based on their DE preference. If they want something like windows, let them have Mint or Kubuntu, if they want something closer to mac, let them have Ubuntu. I say this as someone who likes Fedora Plasma spin.
Everything else, is just information overload and will give users decision paralysis.
Our goal should be conversion of users. Once our numbers start growing, then things will pickup. Just imagine if we had office and adobe products here. How many people would be able to switch. I still use windows on my work computer as there is a single app holding me back.
I love plasma. I used to be into cinnamon, but since the steamdeck, I’ve changed my preference.
Now, I have fedoranplasma spin on my thinkpad.
I really like the windows style DE.
It doesn’t seem that this bill does that.
I think it’s taking power from agencies like the fda and fcc. It doesn’t say anything about the courts.
But I might not understand everything perfectly.
Thanks! I didn’t know that was part of their thing. I just thought they made the phones repairable. Has their supply chain been audited by a third party?
