Reading that article and this comment thread just makes me want to endlessly reiterate the point that if you don’t intimately understand the difference between gender and sex then you aren’t qualified to claim scientific opinion on either.

Defining terms is absolutely crucial to any kind of meaningful debate including science. Cultural anthropologists find the idea of social gender and biological sex being the same concept to be genuinely laughable. Whether or not you dogmatically think they ought to be the same or not, they are historically obviously not and if you mix and match which you are talking about in an argument then your argument will not be productive or make sense.

He might, but he also might mean that he has a power meter that is displaying Kwh since last reset and he plugged it in and then checked it again later when it was all set up after an arbitrary time period and it was either showing the lowest non-zero value it was capable of displaying or was showing a number from several hours.

You are misunderstanding the confusion, Kwh is an absolute measurement of an amount of power, not a rate of power usage. It’s like being asked how fast your car can go and answering it can go 500 miles. 500 miles per hour? Per day? Per tank? It doesn’t make sense as an answer.

Does your computer use 100 watt hours per hour? Translating to an average of 100 watts power usage? Or 100 watt hours per day maybe meaning an average power use of about 4 watts? One of those is certainly more likely but both are possible depending on your application and load.

Honda never really made advanced hybrids either and they absolutely chose to drag their feet on EVs, they pushed hydrogen way too hard and even that always felt like a marketing stunt.

Also any project that takes longer than the initial estimate will be overbudget, not only because you are paying local workers for longer (fairly good for the economy) but simply because inflation has happened more since the project started.

I don’t think viruses are the major concern here, viruses need to be compatible with our cells and DNA or RNA. It’s bacteria and other simplistic life forms that could infect our body and be largely invisible to our immune system.
