Fuck do I miss my first gen Droid. A physical slide out keyboard that was also a switch between portrait and landscape view. I hate auto gyro rotation with a passion.

In the US, a car is a necessity not a luxury. Public transportation barely exists in some cities. Bike/scooter transportation is a death sentence.
Speaking as someone who’s living car free and has been hit 6 times in the past 4 years, ask me how I know.

Average Joe is in debt and can barely afford rent and groceries and insurance and medical bills, and car payments and you get the idea.
There’s not much left to sacrifice.

So fuck the headline for making me think this douche was speaking truth for once

Regardless of which is better, I had mine configured exactly how I wanted it and they changed it without my consent and broke my system because of it in a way that I previously thought wasn’t possible.
It would have been fine if it was a setting that I could enable and configure myself to my liking.

yeah. Brain likes to think that it’s still 2011.

I think it would be cool to self host a thin client system for my household. One main server with everything and I can manage it to ensure that it’s working as it should. Thin clients that myself and fam would interact with for regular use.
Actually, I think I just want an easy way to have my pc in another room so I can use it without having to deal with the heat and noise.
Regardless, the important part is that it’s in my house and under my control. The lack of control is why previous thin client scams were scams and sucked.

This has been tried, and it sucked and failed every time.

It is unreasonable to expect users to understand.

I still haven’t forgiven google for hijacking the g:/ drive letter. I was using that letter already!
Not that it matters to me anymore since I use Linux now, but still.

Does it work on proton experimental? No? try proton 9.x! Did that work? okay and have a nice day

They’re different games, focused on different things. Taht’s why I said Scope Cieling, not just scope.

I’ll just add it to the pile of reasons why ubisoft is on my shit list alongside ea, epic, and activision.

that’s fair

i feel you, but you obviously haven’t had a colony with 400+ civilians and no lag. Rimworld can’t do that. Songs of Syx can.

When you get bored of rimworld in a few thousand hours and are ready for something similar with a larger scope ceiling, try songs of syx.

I’d be interested to see how sales of the steam deck compare. Sure, it’s a pc not a console, but the whole thing is to bring pc gaming to console gamers so I’m interested in the comparison.
EDIT: based on a quick search, 4 million as of this time last year. I did not find anything more up to date than that. Looking that up made me realize that it would be nice if this chart had a date on it since two of the consoles in the chart are still in production.
