I’ll take a look at Nginx proxy manager for domain configuration, like another user in this thread suggested

Are there any simple services you’d recommend starting with to get a feel for things? I’ll probably start with AdGuard, unless there’s a better option
And I don’t plan to use both at the same time, so conflicting ports shouldn’t be an issue.
Is the process for configuring your own domain with Docket enough of a pain that I should consider sticking with YunoHost?
compostgoblin@slrpnk.netto News@lemmy.world•Heritage Foundation plans to ‘identify and target’ Wikipedia editorsEnglish10·3 months agoIt blows my mind that they keep doing that. Why do they think that going “see, we’re the good guys, and we’re so good that we’re going to peacefully hand over control of every branch of government to the fascists” as though the US population is going to see that a positive. It’s clear now, if it wasn’t before, that their claims of a threat to democracy was just campaign messaging for them, not a real belief. (And to be clear, the Republicans are very much a threat to what passes for democracy in the US.) The Democrats seem all too happy to be in the minority again and rake in the donations from outraged liberals who think that the old rules still apply.
compostgoblin@slrpnk.netto Technology@lemmy.world•LineageOS now officially supports the Pixel 9 seriesEnglish3·3 months agoOut of curiosity, why do you think it wouldn’t work?
I am a relatively new Yunohost user, and I’m a big fan. I’ve dabbled with Docker, but I’ve never been quite able to figure out how to make it work. Yunohost took the hard part away and made it pretty easy to set up.
That said, I don’t view it as a long term solution for me. I don’t like not really knowing entirely how it works, and I’ve had issues trying to configure the reverse proxy to connect it with a domain name. (I purchased one from Porkbun, which is apparently not supported.) Until I learn a little more, though, I like it.
