There’s also the fact that that money isn’t strictly money “wasted” - you can effectively double dip by using the funds to buy domestic or allied materials, essentially just circulating the money around your economy and creating defense-related jobs. $10 a day child care was pretty good. I’m a fan of the dental coverage too. The carbon tax actually reduced our emissions for the first time and was overall a net financial benefit for most Canadians.

Keep in mind he’s also making sure to publicly put the ball in Trump’s court regarding maintaining the relationship - especially obvious with his remark about “well of course they wouldn’t want to side with Russia”. Expressing optimism and openness publicly while maybe have reservations privately strikes me as a shrewd political stance.

100% true, and the fact that Shaw just got rolled into Rogers in the middle of anti-monopolist popular fervor is pretty depressing. The grocery industry is absolutely vile. Nifty! I built something similar for my university graduation project. Did a PCB, ESP8266 based as well. Temperature, humidity, sound, vibration, airborne particulate sensor, and some other stuff.

Wrapped a server up in docker for receiving the data, basic dashboard in JS for minor reactivity in components. Never ended up actually doing it cause I didn’t have a consistent host, but maybe I should spin it up again now that I have a home server.
