3·1 month agoThis, plus, the vaccines were mostly developed with public money/university grants, but for the last 10-20% companies took the rights, made it for-profit and put it under patent to prevent the world from gaining immunity.
The example of the polio vaccine should be standard procedure
you would think that millions of dead and millions suffering from long-covid would be enough incentive to actually focus on providing available vaccines to everybody, even for bourgeois “democracies”…
0·2 months agoI usually go with Bandcamp, SoundCloud and YouTube (latter two in rare cases) downloads when I can’t find it as a Torrent or on Soulseek (using Nicotine +)
sometimes, especially with niche artists, there aren’t that many high quality flacs out there in the first place
this, I always use external downloads when downloading in “bulk”
I used to use a few TG bots too back in the day, but switched entirely to Annas archive in terms of ebooks, which I can rly recommend
What helped me was pinning the GPU clock at 1200MHz using the tweakers DeckyPlugin (forgot the name)
though that was like a year+ ago on Yuzu

just because it’s OSS doesn’t make it good. The corp still hold all the power and might sell out, but at least they got free volunteers to program for them so the C-level could get more money!
(now don’t tell me that Bluesky is “federated”. They still hold all the power over site rules and moderation. The only little concession you get is that you are allowed to host your own data)
