I’ve been coughing for only two days. Last night was the worst but today, during the day, felt like less overall coughing. I am not currently working as I’m doing a career switch and working on certifications so mostly I just need to protect my wife and kid.

I did a self test, was waiting to see if it started to get better before I decide to go into a walk in on Friday.

Got my Covid booster and flu shot in mid November. For 2 days now I’ve been pretty sick with aches all over, headaches, dehydration despite pounding water, severe chills, nasty coughing where it feels like someone beat my mid section with a baseball bat.

I’m in my early 40s and tested negative for Covid yesterday, but I’ll be damned if isn’t some flu variant or Covid. Might need to test again since last time I had nasty symptoms for 5 days before my test barely registered positive. It won’t change anything, but I’d rather confirm my suspicions.

This is how I felt too. Eventually I just stopped using our corporate Grubhub “perk” because I was still paying for it when the entire idea was supposed to be a meal “on the company” once a week for weekly All-Hands meetings.

Another massive pet peeve that made me stop using these fucking delivery services is many times the restaurants would give you less food than if you went there. Take a place like Red Robin and their basket of fries was basically 25% a basket of fries at a marked up cost because they have to pay fees to these companies and lose money.

Plus they often got orders wrong. Not sure if that was on purpose or what, but I rarely got everything I asked for or the mods correct.

What parental rights are you advocating for here? I didn’t realize they couldn’t talk to their children in your state or that kids had to tell them every single thing about themselves! I’ve been parenting wrong I guess letting my kid have some privacy about things.

Does the school admin share their emails with the public? I have parent rights to know what they are talking about from an admin level that affects my child. I guess I also have citizenship rights to know what my tax dollars are doing. I mean, we care so much about everything being open, right? RIGHT?!

I appreciate your response. I hate these companies and the shit they are pushing. I have been trying to ween off of these types of places (like Amazon) as much as I can.

I get that all of that, but that’s what the unions and the strikes are about though, right? Like, if you’re NOT exercising that option then you’re never going to get it and isn’t there an option to sue for losing your job over it?

I’ve never joined a union so I have NO idea, just what I’ve seen in comments and on Tv.
