I’ve bought my Oculus Rift in like 2017 and haven’t used it at all for the last 3 years… And I missed nothing. I played the heck out of Beat Saber and HL: Alyx, Lone Echo and some few other games but nothing noteworthy has been released for a long time so I’m just patiently waiting.
Oh, I did play quite a bit of VRChat as well back then.
To be fair so far I had just positive experience when asking about issues here on Lemmy… Don’t know about other places though.

Live USB W11 worked and this was 1st time for me using live W11 USB… I don’t wish the experience of having to use it to anyone…
Was already waiting for Windows to boot while you replied so I was able to succesfully update BIOS from the live W11 USB, maybe next time I’ll try freeDOS but I doubt I’ll be updating BIOS any time soon again

Nothing wrong with the laptop. Everything works fine under Linux, it’s just that I’ve decided to update BIOS and had no idea I’ll run into this wall but otherwise I had great experience with Yoga.
No clue. I’d probably resort to installing Windows instead of risking that something may go wrong by using Wine for BIOS update.
File Roller worked for extracting but the BIOS file seems to be in a .fd format and it does not look like I can do anything with it without further modifications. I’m still downloading ISO for the live Windows USB.
That may work but I feel like it can cause me heap of other issues. I’ll leave this as a last resort for now.
Thanks, seems like I’ll have to do the live Windows USB. I have a older separate PC that still runs Windows 10 to make the USB if Ventoy wont work.

In my experience it’s both cheap shitty headset and expensive shitty headset. The arguments is always wireless + mic so people go and spend ridiculous money on something that can be done better with a cheap good headphones like the Koss + dedicated mic that may not be as convenient to use but will sound much better.
Still, good sound design may be enjoyed on a shitty headset, it’s just that good audio can add more to gameplay than just graphics. Like for example walking in the main HUB area in Starfield is like soul numbingly hilarious… it does not feel alive at all even when you see NPCs walking around all the time.

Yeah, I’ve tried finding the config file to edit the path as the first thing but I could not find it. Adding the Path as was suggested worked after removing TryExec.

I’ve tried to also do export PATH=/home/werecat/Grayjay:$PATH but that did not work either. And finally I had to remove the TryExec for some reason for the Path to start working.
It launches now with Terminal even though I’ve set it to ‘false’ but at least it runs.
You just unzip it and run it
One sale just ended and there’s another… Where am I supposed to get time to play when I’m busy buying them?
I dont mind that its old. It can still do its job just fine. Setting it up and preparing room and space for it is a pain though…
