21·1 month agoPretty sure there are prepper packages available online that is a superset of knowledge bases, things like wikipedia, music, survival guides, guides on agriculture/raw material processing/ hunting / basic engineering etc. (The free ones are better than for-pay grifter packets) precisely for things like this.

15·1 month agoI saw the interview and you can look at the guy and how he is talking and it is apparent that he hasn’t left that wreckage yet. The entire time he speaks like he is fighting against that knot in your throat when you’re right about to cry. And losing his family’s business at this state has also got to hit hard.
I hope he recovers, poor guy.

2·1 month agoI use NewPipe on android and while it is slow to the point of annoyance it is usable. Also completely stopped my doomscrolling so now I am forced to enjoy and appreciate the little things in life like love and friendship ughhhh

2·1 month agoIf you’re using a new computer with Nvidia graphics, expect that to be a pain point. I’ve also had issues with the grub bootloader though within weeks I had a mitigation flow. Just remember to have a second computer around to use the internet to troubleshoot, and put important info you need that you work on on the PC on an attached thumbdrive also. This way you don’t have to worry about losing data. Makes the migration a lot more peaceful.
