Not yet but the law gives the president authority to determine whether the company is a national security threat once it meets all the qualifications in the law. So his “90 day extension” is legally him saying “actually they’re not a threat” for 90 days and then “actually they are a threat” after that.

They’re shutting down instead of blocking new downloads, seems like a stunt. But the blocking of new downloads is obviously happening if SCOTUS doesn’t step in…that’s the law. That’s just what the law says.

I know the technicality is that it will be voluntarily stopping service rather than just ending new downloads like the ban says.

But “app will shut down when banned” is almost comically anti-news.

By having the conversation about the number alone, we’re buying his political premise. The money is not there for no reason, these are democratically popular government programs, that’s why they exist. So which popular programs are you getting rid of to save this money?

This is one of the more normal things he has said recently. Several quotes talking about literal demons coming after him. He might need whatever therapy program Glenn Beck joined.

There’s a middle ground. The near future of the party is Ron DeSantis and JD Vance, the smoothed down versions of Trump. I don’t think that works and someone new will come out fully populist with authoritarian edges, maybe a Hispanic man to help attract the working class beyond just white people, that seems to be the growth opportunity Republicans need and maybe that solidifies Arizona/Nevada/Texas for them while they put all the effort into the Blue Wall and North Carolina.

He’s doing what the Board wants, stock price is up. If there was a worker advocate on the board, maybe things would be different.

Googling this, it seems like he’s trying to EMPHASIZE Harris working there when she was younger. If he actually does this, it will backfire spectacularly.

If he says she’s lying about working there, it just looks like an insane conspiracy theory because it’s one of the most common jobs. It’s not like an impossible thing.

If he tries to say it’s easy so no one should be impressed with her, he just insults every fast food worker in America.

I think this is a really smart move if he never mentions Harris, it makes him look more down to Earth and humble which…he needs. If he’s doing it as a commentary on Harris, it’s going to backfire.

Where does my car get the current speed limit information? How and when does it update as speed limits change? Will school systems around the country have to submit a list of which days are “school days” for school zone speed limits?

What if the GPS registers you on the 30mph road below or next to the 70mph highway, long term or even for a momentary glitch? Who is at fault if that causes you to be in an accident?

Kinda weird this has to be done at the bill level, there isn’t a health agency that monitors these things and bans as necessary?
