Not really. I didn’t play with any mods.

It’s not so much a sandbox, but more of a 4X grand strategy game. Conquer the universe, or at least help some other faction to do so. And stop the Xenon from assimilating everything. It’s like a cross between Elite Dangerous and Stellaris.
I play at most 2-3 games at the same time. 1 story game that requires concentration (currently “Pentiment”), one game I play online with friends (currently “Return to Moria”) and one simple game when I don’t want to think too much (currently nothing, I just finished “Vampire Survivors”)
I’m also a dad with a full time job. As for how I pick my games, if I do the same thing too long I get bored and don’t finish the game. And I like finishing games. So I don’t do two horror games back-to-back, or two survival games, or two FPS, etc. I like to switch up. Before “Pentiment” my focus games were “SOMA”, “Astroneer”, “Conarium”, “Green Hell”, “The Talos Principle” and “Prey”. So, quite varied I think.
It’s really fun. But at some point you have enough resources that the game changes from an immersive space sim to a grand strategy game, and you spend most if your time in the map and menu screens.
Ahhh, X4, the greatest space game that nobody ever seems to talk about. I really like it because the economy and supply lines and factories actually work. But it can be a bit janky.
Evoland (and Evoland 2) are actually really fun games with a lot of humor. I highly recommend them if you got the chance.
Good luck with that! Source: I’m Dutch…
I’m from the EU so I can’t vote over there. I just think it’s incredibly naïve to want to keep everything legal just because you are worried about overreach from cops or politicians.
You know what? They can already overreach using any of a thousand bad laws. But don’t worry. Gambling is big business and the incoming administration is the he most corrupt ever, so nothing will come of this.
You are, by voting. And getting other people to vote. There is a vast amount of grey between everything being entirely legal and a guns drawn “war on gambling”. That’s thinking like a teenager who only sees black and white.
It’s entirely possible to crack down on gambling without treating every gambler as a dangerous criminal. A ban on gambling advertisement would be a good first step for example.
That’s just a stupid take. The problem with the war on drugs is not that drugs are illegal. It’s that you treat drug addicts as violent criminals instead of sick people who need help.
How does it fund itself? What’s the income? Just Social Security Tax?
There us no need. CrowdStrike was such a disaster for Microsoft that they are already on the path to locking down the kernel. Noboby but MS will have kernel access eventually. Give it a few years (and 1-2 Windows versions)
AC Black Flag is one of the greatest pirate games of all times. It’s right up there with Monkey Island.
I do love the carnage, though… When my level 5 or 6 fighter guy swung a regular white text sword for a regular non skill attack and it took out like 5 zombies at once, that was really nice. Never did that in Diablo.
If you think that is carnage, you should see what the end game has in store. You’ll be blasting through hordes and hordes of enemies. You can clear entire maps in a few minutes. It’s a blast!
It doesn’t help that all biomes are basically the same. A wide open landscape with the occasional PoI dotted about. Where are the mega-cities? Factory planets? Planets strip-mined to the core? Why is every space station basically the same?
Yes! Don’t read anything about it. Go in blind.
Curious as to why this happens. My bet is on Ubisoft tampering in windows kernel space. Probably some copy protection or anti-cheat BS
A lot of UE4 games had big issues with shader compilation stutter. This is nothing new.
I think I’ll love the time mechanic. Pentiment has something similar and it makes choices meaningful. I don’t like how in many games when an NPC says “meet me there tonight” they will just wait for you for weeks on end. They should wait the very next night and then be pissed off that you stood them up!
