While this article is about upgrading to Win11, not necessarily a clean install, I found the best way to bypass the requirements is to make an autounnatend with Schneegans.de . Make a Win11 installation USB, generate an autounnatend to bypass the requirements, remove bloat, allow offline install (local account instead of Microsoft account), and a couple other little tweaks like dark mode etc. Drop the xml on the root of the flash drive, and boom.
Or… You know… Install Linux.
Funny story. LG made something with a similar concept about 10 years ago and it never really took off. The LG G5 was a modular smart phone that was supposed to have a bunch of cool modules, but they never came to fruition.
I had one, but mostly because I loved having a swappable battery. Never had to charge my phone, I would just have a spare battery charging on my desk and I would swap it out before I left the house.
Not networked and running on some legacy-as-fuck software. Saw quite a bit of this working in hospitals. You would be surprised how many medical devices are still running Windows XP.
Valve is directly responsible for skins in Counter Strike which are gotten with 100% gambling mechanics. The fact that they can be sold for real life cash adds to this. I’m not saying its only Valve doing this, plenty of other games on Steam as well, but they certainly have a horse in the race.
It look like Nvme riser cables exist, so your mad scientist approach should still be doable, but you would have to continue doing mad scientist shit.
Nvme riser going to the front of the case, maybe even the top, and then get one of those rubber nipple nubs that exist for holding nvme drives in place, and bam, you can swap the drives pretty easily.
Very niche requirement, but to each their own.
You could just get one big drive and partition it to have multiple OS or whatever it is you need. Then pick which one you want to boot from when you start up. Did they get rid of that ability? I haven’t messed with anything like that in years.
That is correct. Porting it to PC also unlocks other capabilities like wide-screen support, modifying/enhancing textures, no framerate lock etc. PC ports of games are awesome.
I seriously don’t think this game gets enough credit. It basically invented the combat system used in a bunch of AAA titles today. Like the Batman games. Sure they have been refined and improved it, but it was revolutionary at the time.
Purge the Butt Pirate!
"Nikolai Patrushev, part of the Russian president’s inner circle and former Secretary of the Security Council, told the Russian newspaper Kommersant that Trump was duty-bound to act on his words.
Patrushev said: “To achieve success in the elections, Donald Trump relied on certain forces to which he has corresponding obligations. And as a responsible person, he will be obliged to fulfill them.”
So yeah, sounds about right.
Damn meth heads ruining it for the rest of us.
Cool. So now I can expect Nintendo to start a DMCA takedown campaign of all their music on YouTube, and completely destroy the playlists I made.
Coolcoolcoolcool
This toolbag again? He moved to a town not too far from me and people started putting up “Hate has no home here” signs on their lawn, and he threw a fit. What a crybaby. Like if you’re going to be a bigot, you should probably have thicker skin. Dude has the spine of a jellyfish.
Here’s an article on that whole thing:
Industry groups argued that those museums didn’t have “appropriate safeguards” to prevent users from distributing the games once they had them in hand.
And what exactly is stopping me from scanning library books and uploading them online? Are you going to ban libraries too?
Actually, let’s not give them ideas.
Mentioned this in another comment. Take that second dism line, and put it in a batch script and make it a scheduled task that runs at login. Or use a Powershell script to make it a little smarter - check if it’s enabled first and then disable it if it is.
Modern problems require modern solutions.
You need to make a Powershell script or batch that uninstalls/turns off the feature and then make a scheduled task that runs the ps1/bat at login.
Its insane that this is what you have to do to keep this shit off your system, but it’s effective.
I had to do this with New Outlook because it kept reinstalling after Windows updates.
If I was the judge, I would hit him with something a little more creative. Like making him voulenteer at a Harris/Walz campaign location for a day or something.
I switch from uTorrent to qBittorrent when Ninite dropped it. I wasn’t aware that uTorrent had become aware, and Ninite had my back. I trust those guys with the selection of softwares they offer.
I need to preface this by saying that I am in no way anti-vaccine, and this has nothing to do with politics.
But…
I got my last booster about 3 weeks ago, and I have been messed up ever since. Apparently there is something called Long Vax Syndrome that is currently being studied. Fortunately I don’t have some of the worst symptoms, but the fatigue is so real. Normally when I would get a covid booster I would be exhausted for about 24 hours, but this is unrelenting. I’ve never been this tired in my life, and it’s honestly a struggle. I am really hoping something comes of the research and they figure something out because I don’t know how long I can sustain this.
But… But line. Line go up.
Youre telling me that exploiting the workers, making life horrible and expensive for the middle and lower class while giving tax breaks to the ultra wealthy makes the line not go up?
B… But line. Line go up!
