Great speech but there is still too much wishful thinking regarding the US. The fight in the US is just barely starting and it is nowhere near getting to the worst parts. Europeans need to assume that not only is American help not coming back in their lifetime, but that there is a good chance that they might need to arm themselves against American aggression. Maybe not all out war but certainly in skirmishes.
It is available to stream on Max, which means that if you do not have the means to legally stream it there, you’ll be able to find it on the high seas. That said, if you do opt to watch it through “alternative means”, make sure to at least send a little money Blender’s way.
I think it’s a bit of Trump bending the knee to Putin, but mostly tech oligarchs dismantling democracy and taking over.
My boomer uncle just bought a brand new one. I relentlessly send him articles like this and reports on the tanking resale value of Teslas. I’m having too good a time busting his balls.
EDIT: That last line of the article goes hard.
The brand that once promised to save the planet is now a study in how fast one ketamine-addled man-child can drive a company off a cliff.
EDIT: Also, obligatory…
Et tu brute.
As with film and TV, lack of access to manga is the main driver behind the global surge in unlicensed demand
“We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem. If a pirate offers a product anywhere in the world, 24 x 7, purchasable from the convenience of your personal computer, and the legal provider says the product is region-locked, will come to your country 3 months after the US release, and can only be purchased at a brick and mortar store, then the pirate’s service is more valuable.”.

$5/dozen is pretty good compared to most prices I’ve seen.

I hope the UK & EU get all of those tasty mineral rights and Trump get left holding nothing but his limp mushroom dick.
But good luck funding a team to keep up with commercial companies’ pace.
You answered the question yourself. The worry is that without a hard fork that is fully maintained we’ll continue to have a dependence on Mozilla. It doesn’t need to be a new engine, but it does need to be an independent one.
“Together, Tom and the incredible employees at the Forest Service will work to execute the agenda of President Donald J. Trump to make America’s forests healthy and productive again.”
That choice of word does not inspire confidence.
I am going to make this statement openly on the Internet. Feel free to make AI generated porn of me as long as it involves adults. Nobody is going to believe that a video of me getting railed by a pink wolf furry is real. Everyone knows I’m not that lucky.
We need a truly FOSS browser that developed and maintained by the community. Librewolf isn’t it unless it fully forks away from Mozilla. We need a new engine and we just don’t have one yet.
Over 15 years ago I proposed to a number of universities what could best be described as an apprentice program. Our clients were interested but because there was no defined income stream to the university (they wanted us to pay them to allow us to teach their soon to be graduates) nobody bit. We have been sounding the alarm about Gen-X retiring for years, but nobody wants to hear it. Now a lot of my colleagues are starting to leave the sector or move out of the US to and scale down their hours. Covering their roles is going to be a struggle.
