This will be the next malware/info leak.
They funded the telco, utilities and property while we funded the salaries. They closed it anyways along with a lot of others, then charged us all a tax for living in an area without a local fire dept.
Our insurance went up about 300% as a result.
San Bernardino county. Yes they deal with major fire prone areas but it’s the largest county in the US, there are a lot of areas that aren’t fire prone.
They recently closed down my local fire dept then jacked my rates up for not being close to a fire dept. I’m not in a fire risk area, but now I’m 30 mins away from a firetruck.
I don’t want to live in the city.
I’m pretty strict on “take your lunch, take your breaks, log off and stop checking email when you’re off-shift” I’ve burnt out once before and don’t need my team members going through that.
Other people at my company are always connected, responding to emails at 10pm. I’ve made people aware that my team doesn’t work that way and to call me if there’s an off-hours emergency before calling team members.
Neither of these assholes have ever had a real job. Not even a high paying real job.
Billionaires are a problem.

Dude needs to be taken down a peg.
90 year old has developed a chronic cough/sinus infection and she’s spent a lot of time talking to ENTs but she hasn’t given up the one thing that’s likely causing the problem. She’s been calling it allergies for about a year now.
Never thought of it that way.
Grandmothers on both sides were 1pack/day.
One died early 60’s from smoking, other is into her 90s still getting around on her own.
Agreed, but you can’t not play the game and dead progressives don’t vote.
I encourage my subordinates to take advantage of their salary job and work a few hours in the AM, deal with their personal medical BS, and check their email at the end of the day to see if anything urgent needs to be addressed. I’d rather they work a little bit then take the whole day off. Save that time for a real sick day.
PR could do it themselves. Most states already have energy efficiency rebate programs and sell discounted batteries. If PR can’t because they aren’t a state…well maybe they should change that.
I wholly support statehood if only to give them more representation and autonomy. I don’t care who they vote for.
Just subsidize personal battery systems and lock the electric companies with no price increases for 5 years, or some variation of the above.
EcoFlow and others have made it very easy to have a personal grid backup that can charge off cheap solar panels.
I’m sure they will tell their friends and family members how nice we were to them.
I think freight trucks operate similar to what I’ve proposed.
How hard is it to put some of those plastic barriers up that are filled with water?
