Considering the outcry from mobile auth back then, I dont think valve will ever try for id check.
Might have the big dumb

Honestly it’s both valve’s fault and the legal system. They’ve tried to combat these sites with the trade window system back in like 2015 2016 I think, but their csgo and tf2 trading economy struggles when you have to wait a week to do stuff.
It also doesn’t help when a lot of these sites dodge being legally a casino, and get away with it.
Bill Gates in this episode looks like he’d have nanomachines
California is suprisingly conservative outside of the cities. If you look at any election map, its usually red towards the farms and rural areas. It’s just there’s so many people in cities that it doesnt really matter on state level
10 years ago was like back when hallowed armor was endgame and mech bosses were the last bit?
There’s so much more content now that honestly makes the entire progression completely different
Theres also a wealth of mods now that acts functionally as a whole new game as well (calamity being the biggest one)
At least it does mean your cat can never turn off your pc ever again with this
I dont think you would like what comes after societal collapse. It’s easy to pin society as just capitalism, but collapse will mean more than just the economic system. Democracies will collapse and entire regions will cease to exist. Food scarcity and mass migration will result in extreme regimes that will defend their territory, and a bunch of nomads who have to live with the constant worry of where the next food and freshwater source is. Not to mention the constant fighting over geopolitical issues (imagine current day scaled up exponentially)
Yes, we should fix our economic system, but societal collapse is not an end result we ever want.
Good for you! I’m still waiting for the day the tech world unionizes and push back on the recent horrendous decisions
Yes and no. In a perfect world, people would be able to uphold their ethics. Unfortunately, in the real world, people don’t have that luxury. A job is their lifeline to basic necessities, and sacrificing their job might mean going to debt for many. Especially if you are young and without many options due to the lower level pullback in the tech sphere.
The issue is that people who find an issue with it and don’t want to do it will get told off by management. Then management just replaces them with someone who is willing to do it (for job safety, or simply because they don’t care)
Thats just how big tech is
In their memo announcing 5 days RTO they also said they’ll be increasing contributor to manager ratio. Guess they meant that by firing a bunch of managers

I don’t understand how anyone can support this regime when they do such horrendous things like in the video.
