  • Rofl, can you point to the prejudice and/or bigotry? Nobody is suggesting we deny service to men, remove men’s civil rights, or do literally anything to men. All your rights and liberties are fully intact. Women being cautious, scared and wary of men because they fear for their safety is not bigotry, prejudice, or sexism. It’s a rational and direct response to society’s complete and utter failure to protect them, and even further, society’s active efforts to protect the rapists and punish the victims.

We’re all in here talking about protecting women in a world where way too many people think rape is perfectly acceptable, and you’re in the back shouting “but how do we protect the men!?” and you genuinely don’t see a problem with that. Jesus Christ. Men are protected, it’s women who are vulnerable.

  • I already made my point? Society at large doesn’t take sexual assault seriously, as evidenced by many factors such as lack of police response, hostile judicial systems, health insurance companies not covering rape kits, the existence of manosphere pieces of shit like the Tates, America recently electing an adjudicated rapist to the highest office of the country, the misogynistic teachings of all major religions, the misogynistic practices of all right-wing political ideologies, etc… Women face a harsh reality where they’re forced to protect themselves.

Even here, in a post about a woman raped by over fifty men hundreds of times, you’re shrieking “BuT WhUt AbOuT MEnS FeEliNgS”.

So, what exactly is your point? Women should just swallow all of these fears and concerns? Why? To spare men any sort of introspection and emotional discomfort? Just deal with it ladies, you’re gonna get raped, big deal.

  • Quote taken completely out of context.

The context is that a partial descendant of an enemy species (Romulans) was the victim of a witch hunt. He was half human and a starfleet officer. He had lived in the federation his whole life.

A real world equivalent example to that would be banning Americans with Russian ancestry that were born in America and lived in America their whole lives from contributing.

That is not what’s happening here. You are arguing in bad faith. Picard would be perfectly fine with preventing Romulans in the Romulan Empire from accessing/modifying sensitive technology.
