Interesting to see Rapidus, a government led initiative at building out a leading edge Japanese semiconductor fab, not being in the list of R&D partners.

If Rapidus ever launches, they would be a direct competitor to Samsung’s fab business, but one would still there area they could cooperate on to share costs of competing with TSMC.
