Thinking about it rationally, I think people should be treated the same regardless of their beliefs, and I should feel pity for this guy. But emotionally, I can’t help but feel schadenfreude for people like this, who get their just deserts.

Why should people be treated the same regardless of their beliefs and opinions? That’s the one thing you can judge people on. People have free will, one chooses what to believe

I will never treat a racist person the same as I would a non-racist person

Yea… my rational side is currently out back and rotting since the last election. At this point I’m cackling with delight at any of these.

It may have helped I grew up in the south surrounded by historic revisionism of a bunch of traitors but I’ve given up on people being treated the same regardless of their beliefs because some peoples beliefs are fucking awful.

I realize that’s a fucking slippery slope to go down, but there’s a reason I tell people I should NEVER be in charge, I’d be a monster. That’s the difference I find between myself and these ghouls is I know to keep my being a monster leashed.

Maybe I’m completely delusional. I used to think the same as you, but now I think they should just go ahead and put me in charge. There is no reality where I could possibly be worse than the people who are currently in charge.
