what some consider to be the turning point

Yep. I remember those conversations, you’re right.

Unfortunately it was also around the time the world was urging US citizens to vote in decent numbers and they were told to mind their own business, that not voting was a right.

    Democrats won’t save you

The current ones won’t. The only way, outside collapse and rebuild which is undesirable, action from within government which won’t happen, stop work and participation protests peacefully by something like 60-70% of the population which won’t happen because Americans can’t endure hardship, is to vote out the current Democrats in primaries then vote those primaried in. That requires better than 80% turnout and sticking to the cause, cleaning out and rebuilding that party. Your system allows nothing else and it needs numbers because of the Electoral College problem.

The fact is, had Americans not been so lazy with voting, it and now the world wouldn’t be here. That this is caused by simple laziness and lack of desire to vote will never be forgotten by me and it will always cloud my view of Americans. I’ll never again give any American citizen the benefit of the doubt.

the CURRENT dnc, are pretty much complicit, and in line with the gop and thier donors. if you look at which senators, and house seats, a percentage of them are like chuck schumer and hakeem jefferies, DINOs. the minority leaders are just lightning rods to take attention away from the DINOs that are at risk of being primaried. and yes culture war bs, also helps the DINos too, keeps the plebs distracted as much it does the republicans. remember shcumers, had 8 non-electable Ds take the fall for reopening the government, it was to hide the other 13 senators, that were up for re-election this year.

schumer dint want to do it himself, because it was too obvious to vote with the gop. a fun fact amy schumer is chucks cousin, and both are pretty much the same POS(one steals jokes material and the other shills for aipac).

dems are too fickle to vote in lockstep like republicans do, they had the whole propaganda mahcine figure dout, dems never took advantage of social media, they are always banking on traditional methods, aka LAZY campaigning. from what we observed, DNC loves to coast by on some marginal insignificant wins, to keep the grift going, as probably coordinated by thier megadonors/gop back doors.

It’s great when people put effort into their replies and show they care about their country and politics. Thanks.

Okay, for sake of discussion let’s say everyone who can vote does vote.

Why do you think that would improve things? The options are still A or B, and both options are pro-corporate police surveillance state.

Even if these voters elected ONLY Democrats, and all of those Democrats were “the good ones” (let’s say they are New Deal Ds who are pro-union)…

The behemoth would still be there, doing it’s thing. None of these elected reps would change this. There’s a massive black budget that most elected reps will never, ever see.

Our political system has evolved to protect itself from interference, so it must be dismantled. All of it.

And there are international monsters exerting their will, too. It’s a very big problem.

Looks like you’re giving a brief and governed glance to the point of primaries.

why do you think that would improve things

        Option A has better people.

        there’s still only option A and B

Option A has now changed and yes, I said that, which as I also pointed out sets tge terms you have to fix it.

the behemoth would still be there

I assume by ‘behemoth’ you mean the capitalist influence problem. That’s why you put those people there, to legislate against that. You gave them a mandate. It takes time, it wouldn’t change overnight, but to assume that they wouldn’t is looking for excuses.

none of these elected reps would change this

But the Republicans can elect theirs and they can make the changes they want. Okay.

        More excuses for not trying.

        it must be dismantled

Yes, and you only have three ways, outside voting in the people you want. The first is horrific, the second won’t happen from within and the third, the population won’t endure the hardship for.

This is what I mean by excuses and laziness.

It’s why nothing will be done and you’ll fall under it. You can’t even put trust in and take the easy option.

Laziness doesn’t just mean ‘won’t work physically for money’.

          Pass

I was just kidding, we all know that your nation lives under the heavy yoke of the USA. If only you were brave enough to protest and vote properly and destroy it!

Oh well, until you do, the USA will gladly allow you to serve it for as long as you need.

I will never give your nation the benefit of the doubt again, I’m afraid. :(

Champ none of this offends me, but I get it.

            brave enough to protest

            I have.

            and vote

            I did. Every election.

            the USA will gladly allow…

Yeah? No shit Sherlock, it’s likely my government will follow you clowns, because of a fucking debt we owe over WW2. Not sure if you remember that cuntbucket, but we keep our word.

Do I like that? Nope, but it is what it is.

            I will never give…

I don’t care. That neans more to you than us sunshine, I give you the drum.

Buddy, I’m not trying to offend you.

The only way you could find my post offensive is if it pertains to you. Whoopsie, I thought you were better than that!

I don’t care that you don’t care, Debbie Downer. Go sit in your corner and weep!

YOU MUST VOTE FOR THEM IT’S THE ONLY WAY

I was trying an impression and lost control, but I am not a Trumper, apologies for the switcheroo

But, don’t forget, he wasn’t elected by voters. He was elected by media (unfathomable coverage because of high ratings) in the first election, and he was elected in the second because of that AND Kamala took a knee.
