This only works if they are willing to enforce it. So they would need to order and get CPD on board with arresting ICE agents. And as much as I would love to see that happen, police tend to be the biggest bootlickers of them all.
Even the mayor stated federal agents wouldn’t be arrested for violating this. So it is just pointless and performative.
Well…shit. Good to know.
Anyone know if Tidal is affiliated with genocide, Russian oligarchs, or other atrocities? Or if there are other better options?
Deezer does have podcast integration, though I haven’t used it for that yet.
Bandcamp is probably the best for the artists. If you want something more similar to spotify, Deezer and Tidal both pay artists better than Spotify if I remember correctly. And neither of them have done anything like platforming Joe fucking Rogan. Though it’s possible that they have done something terrible that I missed. At least a good place to start looking.
GrapheneOS does allow you to turn it off. It has a permission switch for your phone sensors. I don’t know if there are other versions of android that allow the same.
Nuclear submarines typically refers to the powerplant, though for the US that is pretty redundant since all active US sub’s are nuclear. Many or all of those subs are capable of carrying nuclear weapons though. The US historically has tried to not talk too much about where they have nuclear weapons deployed. This regime may not have that level of discretion, and honestly probably doesn’t actually know what nuclear submarine even means.
As for the rest, they are literally out murdering people in international waters to distract from how dog shit their government is.
There is no enforcement. The mayor said federal agents would not be arrested, and the city would basically just sue the federal government for breaking the law.
