Can’t catch a break
What really gets me is that I would try to support businesses that made quality stuff. They either cheapened it, got bought by a larger company (who then cheapened it) or went out of business. At least with things that aren’t food, secondhand is fine when I can find it.
When I was young, I wouldn’t have found it acceptable. It doesn’t matter how badly you’re treated, you need to find a peaceful way to resist. It’s something drilled into my and my peers’ skulls since I can remember.
After seeing little progress (but mostly worsening) with polite requests and peaceful protests, I really can’t figure out how it can be unacceptable.
A lot of those kids probably just haven’t gained that wisdom yet.
My guess is it tried to make it a link because the beginning exclamation mark is used for linking a community.
And yet it gets worse the more rural you get. I know a buddy that lives 10 miles outside of the closest town and they can get up to 3Mbps. I know it gets even worse in the boonies. At least my cell service isn’t terrible up there. It was pretty atrocious ~15 years ago.
This seems very anecdotal. It would be interesting to see some numbers on how different age groups interact with different UI types.
In my experience, most people prefer “card” view type interfaces. Most popular sites I can think of at the top of my head are like this. Instagram shows you a picture. Facebook you default see a post until it is truncated. New Reddit is like this as well. Twitter shows just a small post, and you can view threads that way too.
Even old sites that had list views tended to get more popular when you get a card view, like Reddit.
I’m not sure if it’s generational.
It is absolutely infuriating when you bring up a scenario like this and the “pro-life” say “there’s exceptions when it’s a real emergency.”
Then of course they either victim blame or stay silent when the scenarios we described do happen.
I’ve heard significant other/SO and other half. Seems a bit off if drag’s polyam though.
There’s a lot of alternatives, but fuck the haters and use what drag’s partner and drag prefers.

I’ll have you know I did go back and read my logs from like 2008. I think I cringed so hard I never recovered. You might have saved yourself by not looking at yours!
It’s a bug in your client, and the post it gets is related to your instance. That’s why the other person that says they get the same incorrect post is from your same instance.
I remember when I had the girl with the tutu at bat. She would turn all the way around when she would swing. I tried doing that IRL and I never hit the ball.
Good to know. Sucks with how hard it can be to find certain cookware that isn’t non-stick, but at least it’s doable. (Bonus, if something like a pan isn’t non-stick it can last a very long time so you won’t have to hunt often.) I avoid it because I don’t want to deal with not being able to scrub hard or use Bar Keepers Friend.

Yeah it sure is a DRIVE which is why I’m not doing it.
Yes it sucks that I have to plan harder if I want to drink while I’m out but… I don’t have to drink.
