8·13 days agoI’m using 2 old laptops for a Jellyfin server. One runs Jellyfin, Sonarr and Radarr. The other runs Jackett and Transmission. I’m looking to add a third to handle Sonarr and Radarr and let the original one do just Jellyfin.
I have no backups except for the ones Jellyfin, Sonarr, and Radarr create 🤷♂️

2·14 days agoYes, I know this. :)
That’s what prompted my question. That was legislated so that stores couldn’t pick their own way of doing it.

News@lemmy.world•US ends penny-making run after more than 230 years
19·14 days agoThought one: Did they bother to legislate how cash transactions will work without it?
Thought two: dollars should just become cents. Then we can go back to the days of “ten candies for a penny” that my grandma always talks about and maybe old people will see how unaffordable things really are

Canada@lemmy.ca•An Alberta general strike raises many questions. Key among them are if — and when
5·17 days agoMy question is why aren’t we on strike already?
I’ve installed Mint on 2 older MacBooks. All I had to do was plug in to Ethernet and update the drivers to get it working. I have had no problems with either one since.
Thinkpads are super durable and kind of fun. I got a bunch of T420s (nice) from my boss for free and they’re all running Mint fantastically, as well as some 90s games. (They are being used for the occasional LAN party)
The T420 is from around 2011, so if you spent money on one you could get a better one easy.
I’m in an Albertan union. WTF is taking so long with this general strike? Our union voted in favour, I don’t know the percentage, and a friend of mine told me their union voted 93% in favour of it.

33·26 days agoI’ll also add (for the people that aren’t going to read the article) that they decided the one-year minimum was harmful because in a situation like an 18-year-old receiving an unrequested nude from a 17-year-old, the 18-year-old would get a year in prison.
